Fun game. Made me a fan of the Metroid series.

Recently I found a very good deal on Corruption, so I thought I would give the game a try. This is the first Metroid game in the Prime series I have played, and I have to say that I am sorry I passed on an opportunity to buy the Metroid Prime Trilogy when it was on sale for $30 (the game is now out of print and a used version goes for at least $70). I have to admit this is one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a really long time. I am roughly a third of the way through the game, and I am hooked. This game feels epic. Every world, character, and prop, and piece of architecture is beautifully created. Retro Studios really pushed the hardware of the Wii to its limit. Artists will tell you that form is the first and most important aspect of design- especially in video games- and the artists of this game went above and beyond in creating a very unique and memorable universe. Yes there are more realistic looking games out there on more advanced systems with higher polygon counts and high-def textures, but on a design aspect Corruption puts most games (including games that came out five years later) to shame. Nothing in this game feels stale and every room feels like there is some history behind it. Stills of this game do not do the graphics justice. The sounds in this game are also first rate, and the music feels very much like a Metroid game. Initially the controls do take some getting used (mostly the button layout), but after a couple hours of play I found.

    Excellent game!!!

Some parts took me some time to get used to, but very smooth video, nice artwork, tough bosses, and interesting setting and story.

This is by FAR the best game on the Wii. I got my Wii for Christmas in 2007, and this game was the only reason I chose Wii over Xbox 360. The graphics on this game are GREAT; by far the best on the Wii. These graphics even challenge Halo 3 and Gears of War 2, and THAT my friend, is saying something. Let’s go over boss fights. There is one at the end of each level except one , and sometimes one in the middle of the level. The boss fights are extremely satisfying and challenging. Each boss has a different weakness, so every boss must be beaten in a different way, unless it’s a Berserker Lord. (You will face 2 Berserker Lords) It’s easy to know when the kill is seconds away. Each boss has their own health bar underneath yours. On to difficulties. There are 3. Normal, Veteran, and Hypermode, unlike Metroid Prime 1 and 2 which only had Easy and Hard. You will need to complete the game to unlock Hyper difficulty. Personally, I’ve beaten the game on normal and veteran, and tried hypermode but gave up. Now, I’m trying hypermode again, but it’s REALLY hard. I don’t recommend playing on veteran first, because it’s hard too. (You can’t play hyper first; you haven’t beaten the game yet.) There are at least 50 different types of enemies, and 5 weapons. Sure, say it. “WHAT?!?!?!!??! 50 ENEMIES, BUT ONLY 5 GUNS???!?!!?” Here’s my answer. Metroid isn’t really a “gun” game. Each of the 3 beams look the same, only what they shoot is different. Metroid is more of a puzzle/adventure game than a.

This game is a great first person shooter game for beginners. I feel that games like Halo and Call of Duty are to mature for my 5 year old and after watching his cousins play those violent games he begged for them. I found Metroid Prime 3 Corruption and when we received it he was upset that it wasn’t what he asked for; until he played it. He loves being able to solve the puzzles and fight the bad guys. We take turns going through different levels and my wife even gets involved watching us play and pointing out hidden doorways and objects. Definitely a fun games for kids and adults.

  7. Jefferson Escalona

    Excellent game!!!

  8. Chris Friedman

This game is easily the best I’ve played on the wii. In my opinion just as good as the first game in the trilogy with better immersive controls. If you’re debating whether or not to get this game, do it! You won’t be sorry.

  9. Jack A. Franceschetti

The best title in the trilogy!

  10. B-Dizzle

Awesome deal on a metroid game.
