There has been a lot of hype about the Metroid Prime series. I never really got into it when it was out on the Gamecube with the first two titles. I purchased Metroid Prime 3 the day it came out at my local game store. Boy was I suprised.First off the game runs very smoothly and so far is graphically the best game on the Wii. The action is almost non-stop. Retro really pulled through with the Wii controller. Everything is very intuitive and not akward at all. They give you three control setups. I strongly recommend advance for tighter and faster controls. You can pick targets off pretty easily and strafing is great. The lock on system that they came up with is very useful in boss battles. You can lock on to an enemy and strafe around them but be able to shoot wherever you want. The sensitivity is perfect. If you have played Prime before this may seem a bit nostalgic for you. It feels quite similar. They even redid some of the old music. If your new to the Prime series like I was then don’t be afraid to spend the money to buy this title. You will be pleasently suprised. This is going to be the best title of the year on the Wii (Until Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy come out).Overall the game feels a lot like halo but a lot less of a shooter. Yes it is an FPS but there don’t worry this is a Metroid Game. There are puzzles to be solved and baddies to be shot down. Great mix of everything. Thank you retro for this title!

This game is amazing! I am a huge metroid fan and this game is the best of the three prime games (not including prime hunters). It beats the last games in controlls, gameplay, graphics, and fun. Now to the people who have never played metroid before this is not a shoot all the bad guys game or series. It is centered around solving puzzles and exploration but it does have alot more action and storyline than the other three.I will break it down for you.Graphics: A+ some of the best on the system. better than all the gamecube graphics and PS2 graphics even some xbox and 360 games(not all but some).Fun:A+ For a metroid fan or a non metroid fan this game is loads of fun.Controlls:A+ It was a little awkward at first but once you get used to them its a breeze to controll samus.Speedrunning:F- The metroid series made speedrunning (trying to win a game in a certain amount of time) popular. The metroid prime series is a bust when it comes to speedrunning. I mean you can do it but you don’t get a better ending so why try.Storyline:A+ Alot more story than the last two installments by far. And all in great looking cutscenes.Action:A+.Some people might want more but i think it is just enough.Puzzles:A+. I have nearly every metroid game and have played them many times over and the puzzles in this game stump me. But if you stand back and think about them for a minute anyone can figure them out.Bosses:A+. Nothing to rival Flaghhra in MP1 but still very good.Boss and enemy AI:A. The AI ranges.

I have been studying this product for a while and I have to say that this game is probably one of the best first person shooters I have ever played. Its not only because of the style of the game, but it is the controls. It all feels natural when you play on advance. Some people say they have to get use to it, but to me it all makes sense.Graphic wise, it is definitely the best so far for the Wii, and I do say it can stand up as a next generation game. I owned Gears of War for the 360 and played it at 1080i and while Metroid isn’t as good in graphics, the quality it has been put into it definitely shows. Not to mention that it does run at 60fps which is a feat that this game accomplish that some PS3 games have a problem producing. I play on my LCD TV with the official HD cables from Nintendo and believe me, it stands out beautifully. I love it when I use the visor and how I can see Samus facial reflection, definitely a work of art.The difficulty is tough when playing on Veteran. I have saw Gamespots review mentioning that the “streamlined control makes the game too easy”. I am an experienced player, and I beat Gears of War within 3 days, being a married man with kids, and I have found this game to be very tough on Veteran mode. Probably the toughest Prime of them all. What makes it tough is that in order to beat certain scenes you need to be able to go in “Hyper Mode” to beat certain characters. When you do this, it drains your life meter, so if you go overboard with it, you c.

I’ve enjoyed playing Metroid Prime 3 on Wii, but it does get very frustrating at times. I’m pretty much a novice gamer and not too keen on shooters, but the graphics in this game are excellent. The walkthroughs seem to assume an awful lot of prior knowledge and leave a lot to be desired. The time between saves is very long at some points, so one has to dedicate a couple of hours of straight play time, at least, otherwise you have to go through the section again so you can save. The second time though a section is much quicker. Overall, I’m still not too keen on first person shooters and prefer more adventure and less bangs, but I am 62 so maybe I’m just old-fashioned. The game saves itself, from my poiont of view with the graphics, are stunning at times.

Product was in on time and the CD still works! As soon as I play the game I’ll rate the actual game itself. (editing this review in the process.)

Note: This is my 13yr old son’s review.A couple hours into it and its awesome! We just got this today (from GameStop) and it is a pretty good game so far. Graphics are actually very clear and crisp for 480i on our HDTV. The wii interaction is fun – you fly your ship, open doors and most importantly kill things all with the wiimote. The nunchucks are primarily just to move you along and for the grapple-beam. This is soooo much better than the other metroids because you’re not alone, meaning there are three other hunters who help you along the way. Of course, the puzzles are challenging, but they are fun too. Overall this game rocks, 5 stars! It’s definitely worth the $49.99 I saved for weeks.

I was expecting Metroid Prime 3: Corruption to be the Wii’s best title to date upon release and I was not at all disappointed. Although I have not yet completed the games, I can provide some feedback about certain aspects.Playability: The controls are absolutely fantastic. The use of the remote and nunchuck together is flawless. I’ve never played an FPS on any console that felt so natural and refined.Graphics: The graphics are undoubtedly the best of any Wii title out as of yet. The environments are stunning and really prove the Wii is capable of crunching some polygons.Difficulty: The latest installment in the Prime trilogy is definitely the easiest in terms of gameplay. At first I wasn’t too thrilled about the seemingly quick progress through the game, but I’ve grown to like the more fluid progression. There is still plenty of backtracking to enjoy and boss battles are still quite epic.Sound: The sound effects are as good as ever, but I am slightly disappointed with the music. I think the music of the first Prime title was spot on, but it has gone downhill from there, with Corruption having the weakest score of the trilogy. Bad by no means, but not quite as good as I expected.Overall, Corruption is a worthy finale to the Prime trilogy and something any Metroid fan should enjoy. The graphics rock, the gameplay is truly impeccable, and it retains elements of previous Prime games that ensure familiarity. This is a game every Wii owner should play and the best currently out fo.
