For some, the Prime trilogy just isn’t their “bag”. They might have become bored with the backtracking and fetch quests, they might have disliked the use of the 1st person perspective, or maybe their views on the games, which are almost universally viewed as masterful by critics, were tainted by nostalgiac memories of their 2D predecessors. Irregardless of their reasons, Metroid Prime 3 is surely a much easier game to swallow. It remedies many of the quibbling flaws from the first two Prime games including:-Useless trekking through areas that have little to no remaining importance simply to reach areas that contain “artifacts” or other upgrades of importance. This was solved through a clever use of Samus’ ship and slightly smaller areas that are much quicker to navigate.-Controls that were arguably substandard. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 utilized a lock-on aiming system that was a bit boring and slow in comparison to first person shooters, but was much more conducive to the platforming that is a staple of the Metroid series. For Prime 3, Retro ditched this method in favor of a more traditional FPS control scheme that, at the very least, is more accurate than any other console FPS, and is the new benchmark for FPS controls on Wii.-Backtracking is simply made more tolerable. Most of the artifacts that must be collected to finish the game could easily be found without actively seeking them, which makes the end-game search quick and painless.Other than that, MP3 makes novel use of the.

Metroid Prime 3 is a must have for any Metroid fan! After playing through Metroid Prime 2, I was a little worried about the development of Metroid Prime 3 so I was sure to write Nintendo with my concerns. Although the game is linear, meaning you have to follow a specific order to get through the game, it’s still quite enjoyable and the collection of key items later on in the game does allow you to explore. In the process you will get to learn more of the Chozo, as well as other alien encounters from previous Metroid Prime games, and get to enjoy a few Metroid classic features such as the plasma beam, spider ball, and screw attack! The soundtrack is great! I wish I could buy it somewhere. Just to warn anyone who’s up for a challenge, once you unlock Hyper mode in the difficulty settings it makes this one of the hardest games to play. This is a masterpiece of a game and a great ending to the Metroid Prime trilogy. Still, I wish Nintendo would deliver more.

Awesome deal on a metroid game.

Let me start off by saying- hands down, this is one of the best video games i’ve ever played! I’ve been playing games for over 20 years, and have played all the greats on all the systems. Metroid Prime 3 deserves a spot along with the best of the best. This game literally changes the playing field for first-person shooters / adventures. The control is unbelievably precise, you can aim perfectly and naturally with the wiimote. After playing Metroid on Wii it’s actually hard to use the dual analog controllers again, they feel so stiff and imprecise. There’s fantastic motion-based controls as well, like thrusting the nunchuck forward and then back to rip the shield of enemies with your grapple beam. Graphically, Metroid 3 sets a new standard on the Wii, it’s by far the best looking game on the system. The graphics are so good in fact, they almost give games on my 360 a run for their money. The art design is superb, from the aliens to the level design. Puzzles and power-ups are top notch, you even get to use Samus’ ship for the first time ever. There are many worlds and locations to explore, each with distinctive characteristics, and beautiful graphics. The boss battles are some of the best i’ve ever played, you have to work hard to figure out their weakness and beat them, and it’s just so gratifying. All of this wouldn’t work without the superb controls, which i really can’t emphasive enough. The aiming is spot-on, wherever you point, Samus aims and fires. The other thing that r.

Normally I don’t write reviews unless I feel the product just screams at me to do so. With that said, Metroid Prime 3 is one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I’ve ever had. The story is extremely rich with believable dialog, sharp graphics (by far the best I’ve seen on Wii), and flawless functionality with the Wii remote. In short, Retro makes you lose yourself in the role of Samus and makes you forget you’re watching a TV.The game begins very Star Wars like with Samus flying through space in her ship. After a brief glance at her without her suit, she dawns it and proceeds to a federation ship. The Wii remote controls Samus’ free hand and you can move it around and press buttons, which control different aspects of the ship. You even have to type in her personal security code and engage the ships thrusters by grabbing the lever and thrusting the Wii remote forward. Super intuitive and immediately gets you familiar with being Samus rather than just controlling her.The level of detail is astonishing. After the federation ship falls under attack I couldn’t help but walk to the large bay windows and watch the battles going on in space. Also, you get more glimpses of Samus inside her suit than ever before. Cut scenes and her different visors show her face on the screen, making her feel very alive. When you activate her scanning visor, you will see her refelection look around and blink, adding to the realism.Of course, I still have a long way to go in finishing th.

Well, it seems there are no lack of rave reviews for this game as it should be: this game earns every last nice word. The graphics and art design especially are wonderful(i don’t know what the crack smoker saying they looked like N64 was thinking), the sound design and music are great(i found myself humming along with the tunes after only 20 minutes), and the level design, as always, is impeccable. The new controls are the real shining light here though. Any review you read saying you will always see other FPS controls as second rate after this are true and i am not an old hand at FPS by any means(i can’t stand the overrated Halo series). However as a longtime Metroid player i do have some gripes with a near flawless game experience. For starters the default difficulty is Wind Waker easy(start on Veteran unless you’ve never played video games before). The voice acting is very well done but the heavy rotation of the cliche ‘Space Marines’ had me gritting my teeth at times like the game designers were trying to match this up to Halo. I almost felt like i was playing Fusion at times because Aurora keeps butting in to tell me where to go…uhh, excuse me, i though i turned the hints off. I’ve always loved that the Metroid series Doesn’t hold your hand like 95% of modern games do. There is not as much isolation as before but it is still definitely more adventure than action. i knew Retro wouldn’t completely blow it. The boss battles are things of strategic beauty(espec.

My son played the first two in this series and couldn’t wait for this Wii sequel to come out. He loved it. The voice over acting is a nice addition and the controls worked perfectly. My only complaint? He finished it too fast! If you’re a parent and your kid wants this, give in. Metroid is really one of the best first-person plays out there. We did get the game guide with this as well. The guide provides the maps and reading pleasure. (the reading is the good part!)
