I don’t want to re-hash what everyone else is saying about this game. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing Metroid Prime. The whole plot of this game is very engaging and easy for old fogies like me to pick up! This is nothing like the original Metroid game for the NES. It seems to me that this is somewhat a rip-off of the Halo series, but that is OK by me. Even the enemies in this game remind me of the Halo creatures. They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. The Wiimote was made for games like these! Tons of fun. Buy this game today!! Also the graphics are GREAT, so don’t listen to all the haters out there. Freaking beautiful!!

Great addition to my gaming library.

This is definitely a “near” 5 star game – maybe 4.7 stars. They should of called it Evolution as this game has changed how this the series is played with the new control scheme. The controls are so much better and in fact I would never want to play Metroid Prime 1 or 2 again due to this fact. It’s so natural now to play it with the Wiimote. It just feels right.NOTE: Make sure you are using Advanced mode for Sensitivity. Don’t use the default. It IS the best looking Metroid Prime game to date. In fact, it IS also the best looking game on the Wii to date (as of 9/2007). If anyone can’t see that then you are blind or biased against the Wii. The Metroid Prime 3D engine has definitely been updated. It has more detailed and larger environments, more complex backgrounds, crap loads of particle effects and better textures. Just look around and you will notice so much that just wasn’t possible in the previous games. That’s right, look around and enjoy the game and environment. The voice acting is a welcome new addition (and well done I might add) as it just makes the game more alive and draws you in. Hopefully more Nintendo titles will start using voice work as they have done with Prime.Yes, it feels similar to the previous games because it’s the same Metroid formula and therefore the same core design standpoints are intact (explore, scan, fight, upgrade, backtrack, etc). If you never cared for Metroid games, then this game isn’t really going to change your view.Final thoughts, this is.

This is a must own for hardcore Nintendo fans. If you enjoyed the first two Metroid Prime games, you will love this one. It’s a bit shorter than the previous Metroid Prime games but a lot more fun and intuitive thanks to the new controls. The use of voice acting provides a much greater story telling experience than the “story-by-scanning” method used in Prime 1 and 2. Easily the best game for Wii until Zack & Wiki, Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros Brawl come out.

RESPONSE TO THE “MOST CRITICAL REVIEW”: I played this game for about 11 hours yesterday and my fingers didn’t hurt at all so you probably don’t need to worry about that. FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVEN’T PLAYED ANY METROID PRIME GAME: Do yourself a favor and play them in order. You have a Wii which is backwards compatible so you’re capable! Most people consider the first one to be the best in the series. You don’t have to play them in order to understand what’s going on in the story, but it can help somewhat. Get the Gamecube versions because the Metroid Prime Trilogy is so much more expensive and you have to use the motion controls which are probably slightly worse than a Gamecube controller (although you do get to play in 16:9 widescreen mode with the Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii instead of 4:3 with the Gamecube versions). Do NOT fear for one second that Retro Studios turned Metroid into a standard first-person shooter. My friend hates shooters, and I’m not particularly fond of them, but we both loved the first Metroid Prime (he didn’t have as high an opinion of the 2nd one and hasn’t played the 3rd, I loved all 3). The puzzle design in this series is amazing. Exploring the worlds is a blast. The music is excellent. And you can read about the awesome things you encounter in the world by scanning them (but you can easily skip this if reading isn’t your thing). And there is an enormous variety of creatures to battle. FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE PLAYED A METROID PRIME: As for the motion co.

This game is a wonderful conclusion to the MPT, and the graphics are stunning. The friend vouchers thing sucks donkeyballs, and the ending is a little underwhelming, but those are my only qualms, and they are small ones when compared with the perfection of the rest. Beautiful!

I bought this game from my local GameStop today on its release day (28th). After 2 hours of play I have to say I am thoroughly pleased. I was a humongous fan of the original primes debut and then was minorly disappointed with the second. The third blows the previous two out of the water.Visuals: While improved, I see no reason to consider these graphics “Amazing”, but they certainly get the job done. Everything is beautiful and well done, just not a 100% eye candy feast.Sound: Im a huge fan of the music from all Metroids. The game recreates the games musics, plus all the quick tones that you get from completing a puzzle, or exiting your ship are brought right back with plenty of nostalgia.Story: A complete 360 degree improvement. You have allies, main characters, plot development, character development, and full voice acting! I was more than happy to see the heroine remain silent but have the world moving around her in full speech. Compare it to Zelda if all the text of people you were talking to was voice acted.Gameplay: This is where I reveal my one tiny annoyance with the game. You use the remote to point and fire your arm cannon. Its also used for her left arm to interact with all sorts of other things. While this is brilliantly done and can lead to some VERY intense boss battles….after an hour I was left with my wrist a bit sore. After an hour and a half I was constantly attempting to move my wrist on my lap or leg so that it wasnt strained. This is an obvious problem.

This game is almost exactly how sequels should work — start with the “game” you have, make a few changes for a new system or because of customer feedback, and make a new story that’s fun to play through. The changes made to the

This game is amazing. It’s a first person shoot ’em up. Beautiful it is. Music is inspiring. This game has given me hope in Nintendo’s Wii. I love this game and am glad to have pick this one up. This shows me a little bit more about Samus. She is a warrior. This one will be a classic. I recommend this one to old-school Metroid lovers. You need to have an open mind to enjoy this one. Younger girls will probably have fun playing as Samus>

On November 15, 2002 the original Metroid Prime released and to great acclaim. It was widely regarded that the series’ first step into 3D was a very successful one and the game was loved. I only rented it at first, never having played a Metroid game before, but soon fell in love with it. About half way through the game I stopped and bought it. On November 15, 2004 Metroid Prime 2: Echoes went into stores with anticipation. Sadly, it wasn’t as good as the first in the series and received sales that matched its decline. I bought it on release and enjoyed it, but it simply wasn’t as good as the first in the series. On August 27, 2007 Metroid Prime 3: Corruption jumped onto the gaming scene. It was much looked forward to by fans of the series and sported what was called “the best control style ever made for a first-person-shooter.” I looked forward to it after playing the first two, but was somewhat skeptical. It looked amazing, but I wondered. “Did they turn my Metroid into a FPS?” It was said over and over that there was more emphasis on combat and shooting, but also that it was still Metroid. Two days after official release I got the game and realized after only fifteen minutes that this is what Metroid is supposed to be. First of all–there’s voice acting. Don’t worry, Samus doesn’t talk, but everyone else does. Personally I think it’s a step forward. The graphics are stunning and everything looks flat out amazing. If you were waiting for good graphics on the.
