This disc has 30 games but, I can think of 20 or so that Midway left off. That is really my only complaint, there is plenty of space on the disc, and WB should have tried to fill it up. Since they decided to put 30 games on the disc, there aren’t enough games to make another disc of 30. The games themselves are pretty fun and there is a wide variety. Some games are suited for console controllers while others aren’t.
Oh, the 80’s alive and well!! Hours and hours of fun.

If u liked the old 80s games, this is the collection for you. Spy Hunter is the best game in the collection. Good for killing time on a slow day.
For the price, this is a cheap and convenient way to get a bunch of classic coin-op games in one package. Growing up, Satan’s Hollow and Sinistar always scared the ba-gezus outta me! It is nice to be able to change how many lives you start with or how many continues you get.My gripes are on the games that originally required a steering wheel doesn’t play as well using an XBOX controller (Spy Hunter, APB, etc.). Also, you can’t customize all buttons in some games. Spy Hunter, for example, you would think you can configure the trigger and bumper buttons just like the arcade steering yolk, but you can’t cause some buttons are reserved for other functions (like speed or calling the weapons van); gear shifting is also an odd action.

I ordered this 360 disc for two games — Robotron 2084 and Joust. I was not disappointed! They are exact replicas of the original games that stole so many quarters from me back in the 80s. I could have bought this disc many times over if I’d put those quarters in a jar and waited for the X-Box to come along!I tried a few of the other games and they were okay, but the two games mentioned above were the reason I bought this collection. I never encountered Joust 2 back in the day, so I gave that a try and wasn’t very impressed (J1 was simplistic perfection, J2 just tried to put more obstacles to kill your jockey and force you to pop another quarter into the game).If you grew up during the 80s and spent any time at an arcade, you’ve probably seen some of these games and might enjoy adding them to your collection as palette cleansers between Borderlands 3 and Gears 5.This 360 game worked great on my X-Box One X.

I am avid gaming enthusiast who played games for over sixteen years. I also worked in the industry of gaming. After having played dozens of modern games on all current gen systems I’ve began to lean toward classics to give me some gaming diversity and to experience historical gaming.As you may know Midway as a company does not exist now. They bankrupted sometime in 07 or 08 and the brand was eventually purchased by Warner Brothers who are now the owner and publisher of all Midway games. Until Midway went down Xbox Live had very nice versions of Midway games in digital download form. They were made by Digital Eclipse and were very nice. They always gave a perfectly emulated original game as well as newer and "improved" versions with higher definition art and backgrounds. These versions were taken off XBLA and for some time no one had access to Robotron 2084, Smash TV, Joust, etc etc.This collection of games is developed for WB by somewhat legendary developer Backbone Entertainment who made collections of Sega games and other retro games before. They are all well emulated versions of original games. They have good screen options and background selections, but the actual games are just identical original games. You do not get options to play any kind of "improved" or HD versions of the classic games. Just a lot of original games.I have to give this game 4 out of 5 because the original classics are all well done and emulated, have leaderboards, and decent controls.
