Although MLB isn’t much of an improvement from previous installments, the games combined is a great deal for any sports gamer. The MyPlayer modes are singlehandedly why I purchased this and I have already poured 20 hours into each game. The best part about these games, is that 2K doesn’t stiff you with an online pass, meaning if you could find a used copy on here, I would recommend you get it.

Not the best MLB 2K release to date, as it is literally a dead man walking title. Updates and bug patches were slow, and they didn’t change much from the previous year. Was very EA like. I have no idea if they will re-license with MLB in the future. The NBA title was far better than I anticipated. I have not even tried a NBA title in several years. The career mode can be quite interesting.

Don’t expect the amazing graphics of the NBA 2k series on the MLB game, but they are improved from previous years. While still a load of fun, it’s not nearly as deep in the My Player mode, nor is it as pretty, but for an extra 10 bucks, it’s a pretty damn good deal, whether you’re buying this bundle for the NBA or MLB game. Got it at gamestop. :)

Let me just start by saying the baseball game is absolute crap. The graphics are awful and so is the gameplay. Unless you’re an avid baseball fan, that’s the only way I can see you enjoying this game. I played this game twice and got so tired of it very quickly.Moving on to the basketball game: The gameplay is very fun. Being on Xbox live and playing online is very enjoyable. The features on the game are entertaining and never seem to get old. Some gameplay complaints are that you cannot control whom you pass the ball. Players make half court passes which end up being sent to the other team. Also, some teams are severely overrated and some are severely underrated. For example, the Miami Heat literally make 95% of their shots even with players who cannot shoot that well. As with the Los Angeles Clippers. Blake Griffin making half court 3 point shots does not make sense. The Hall of fame mode is cool but the “my player” mode isn’t. It sucks, how are you going to have your player make all his practice shots but not even be able to make a layup during the game? I don’t like the “Teammate grade” feature either. It’s very difficult to play defense and have your teammate grade go up. The graphics in this game are little bit better. Overall, I would buy it but be wary of some ridiculous elements of the game like overrated players and unrealistic gameplay.

2k sports has killed it with these two sports franchises. I’d play either of these games over madden any day. Plus this is a great value.

I play these games all day every day. I don’t go to class anymore because these games are so fun. AND I CANT BELIEVE HOW GOOD OF A DEAL THIS WAS! $70 for 2 AWESOME GAMES! Totally worth failing out of college!
