The constant quest for new gear to fight new beasts to get new gear has kept me engaged for many hours. However, I can’t give it a full 5 stars because even though each monster hunt feels different, as does each weapon, the combat can often feel as if I’m just doing the same thing over and over again, especially when I need to fight the same monster multiple times to get enough resources. Changing to a new weapon can eliviate this problem for some time, but doing so takes time.

My daughter loves this game on her 3DS. She said it is her favorite. Warning: If you get this for your kids, they may ignore you for quite some time because they are having too much fun playing with this.

im a huge fan of the is game every time a play a new monster hunter game, i put many hours in it to be the best. love this game can’t wait for monster hunter 4

This game is great for all those people who love a game where all the fights are boss monsters. The monsters get continually harder and faster as the ranks go up. The rankings are Low>High>G (while G rank can only be done in Port town) where the monsters damage and HP skyrocket while also getting insanely fast. The fun is in the capturing/killing of monsters to make your equipment. You can make either weapons or armor with whatever you gain from the monster but if you think only having 2 categories of things you can do is not enough here’s a little heads up there are TONS of weapons for each type and SEVERAL upgrades for each weapon meaning there’s a seriously huge amount of weapons you can have. There’s plenty of other stuff you can do as well, fishing, mining and bug catching but that’s mostly to just collect for weapon or armor making. I would not recommend this game for people with little patience because it is very frustrating on many occasions because other monsters around the area could mess up your position and causing you to die, while gathering and farming certain monster drops would get tedious at times. I would highly recommend this game if you want a lot of action for a couple of bucks, it’s definitely worth the price I’m seriously at 300 hours of gameplay and still haven’t even come CLOSE to being finished with this beauty.

great rpg, got it on time and evrything has worked fine… i love the game, even when the controls seem a little weird but u get used to it

I am a Monster Hunter fan, and this is definitely to best of the bunch. At 150 hours, I’ve climbed to 9 star village and 6 star port. Both high rank and G rank can be soloed with preparation, so no need to fear if you don’t have fellow hunters handy. That said, hunting with friends is amazing. I got a circle pad pro for my 3ds xl, and I have loved the controls for the game, even underwater. Happy hunting!

This game honestly has no flaws. If you’re a fan of Skyrim and looking for something similar, then here you go!Some notes:-There is a character customization that is pretty versatile but nothing like Skyrim-The introduction scenes for each monster can drag-Some of the upgrading and instructions can be confusing but just fiddle aroundOverrall: definitely a franchise that will be seeing my money in the future

    excellent product and time

  9. Alexander Arias Zeledon

I liked the game very much. At first I was worried to play without the Circle pad pro for my 3DS XL because some reviews say that the camera was difficult but that was not the case. It worked exactly as the PSP version, MHFU, and it has a better frame rate so the turns and pans were faster and smoother. It’s easier a little than the other versions, but that is not a bad thing. The text boxes are difficult to read and turning off the 3d effect does not help a lot. That is odd because the previous game in this engine, Resident Evil Revelations, showed text in excellent contrast and detail.I’m very happy with my purchase and i expect to enjoy a lot of this game.

One of the coolest games Nintendo has ever put out, and definitely one of the best games on a portable device. Dark Souls levels of depth and exploration and identical cross-platform experiences are amazing.
