I got this game because I had just watched the first three seasons of Shonen Jump Naruto again after years to remember what happened. It is a great purchase. The only complaint I have is that the storyline many times is directly pulled from the shows. It is difficult to follow a game when you know exactly what is going to happen sometimes. I do love the memorization of the controller moves to create the hand signs, though. That was definitely worth the purchase. For a Naruto fan, this is a must.

Let me cover this from two aspects – as an anime/manga adaptation and simply as a game.Ok, I’m not a Naruto expert. My son started watching it on Cartoon Network and got really into it so I (trying to be a good parent) looked into it to make sure I was cool with the content – which I was. He has since also been reading American Shonen Jump. So, most everything I know about Naruto is simply due to proximity to my son. :) That being said, I do like Naruto story and characters quite a bit.I also am an anime fan and have bought many games on different platforms that were based on manga or anime I liked. I think most anime fans, when they buy these games, are looking for faithful recreations of the characters and universe they love. They want to be able to interact with these people and places. If that is the criteria, this is probably the best I have ever played. All the voices (either the Japanese or the English versions) are the same actors as in the anime. The conversion of Naruto’s world to 3D is remarkably well done. The “village hidden in the leaves” looks perfect, all the character (down to their special moves and fighting style) are dead on, and it faithfully recreates the first 80 episodes as the primary story thread you follow through the game – integrating scenes from the episodes themselves as the cut scenes in the game. For Naruto fans as well, this is the only Naruto game that includes story based, role playing elements as well as fighting game elements..

Faithful to the hit Japanese cartoon, this game is a lot of fun for 1 to 2 players either off line or online. It can be played as a story and as a 3D fighting game. Some of the achievements can only be unlocked by playing online as a fighting game while others can be unlocked by playing off line in its story mode. It has a few bugs.

Got just for the pleasure of simply free roaming the hidden leaf village, great graphics for its age

The mega manga/anime franchise that has been sweeping the states as of late is the Naruto franchise. The universe within the series pretty much says “game” written all over it. If you picked up a random Naruto game, however, chances are it had “not that great” written all over it. Many of them are shallow fighters or platformers that have no real reason to exist other than to make cash on the popular craze. Ubisoft, however, has decided to take on the reels of the franchise and deliver a Naruto game of their own. As the first game in the franchise to be developed outside of Japan, and the first to hit Microsoft’s console, it attempts to deliver something that the other games have missed out on: being good. Does it succeed in its lofty goal, however?!Story:Naruto: Rise of a Ninja covers the first 80 or so episodes of the franchise, and tells of the beginnings of Naruto’s rise of becoming the very best ninja, known as “hokage” in his world. He is known, however, as being a troublemaker, and try as he might, he never really seems to catch a break. Not only has he failed ninja school, but he has an ancient nine-tailed fox demon sealed inside him, which hasn’t exactly made him the talk of the town, so to speak. Naruto now attempts to do everything in his power to win the villagers trust. The setup is not too complicated, yet it makes you want to help the young underdog on his quest to earn the one thing he’s looking for: respect.7/10Design:There are two different modes in Naruto:.

  8. Jonathan

Awesome game. Though once done, there really isn’t anything else to do. However, it’s still a classic for me.

  9. Santino Eyuro

The game looked brand new, box, disk and even manuals were in excellent new like condition. I love it

If you are even slightly a fan of the Naruto series then you can not pass this game up. This game has action adventure, rpg and fighting in it and it works flawlessly. I must also point out that it has one of the most satisfying game endings. I can’t wait for part 2 and after playing this game neither will you.
