I love this game. I play it any chance I get. I loved last year’s version,so I thought NBA Live 2004 would be good. And I was right. At first I didn’t like it, but now it’s the bomb. The player models look just like the real players. Dynasty mode is the best. I love it when you trade players and you get someone, the team players actually welcome the person or persons to the team. The EA Sports Bio is also a good feature for the game. A new feature to this game is the dunk and power dribble button. At first I could not understand it, but now I do. Another great feature is that you can import a draft class from NCAA March Madness 2004 to this game. This game is for basketball players everywhere. If you love NCAA March Madness 2004 you will love this game. The ratings are a little weird but the gameplay makes up for it. Like Gary Payton being an 81 overall when he was an 94 in lasts year’s version. I also like My NBA Live. Now I can get some Nike’s when I create myself. I sure hope NBA Live 2005 will be as good as this one.

Decent, but not as good as ESPN basketball. The Graphics are pathetic as are the blocks. But the freesytlin moves are pretty cool and the actual game play is rock solid. The online play is cool too. If you’re a basketball fan, you’ll want to check this out.

I don’t now who to start a season with but i think maybe blazers, knicks, cavilairs (with LeBron James and all:) or maybe relive the excitement of the NBA Finals 2004 and start of with the Pistons! But in till I get enuff bling-bling I’ll let you no how i think of it :) Peace homieZ and nice knowing ya! And ALL WAYS have a ball :)!

I’ve had and played NBA Live 2004 since 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 14, 2003. There are some very good qualities and some bad. Let’s start with the good first. The pro-hop is easily the best in-game move a basketball game has implemented so far. If you are a basketball fan, you know that is what most players do when they take it to the rack. Freestyle has its moments, but can be kind of unrealistic as far as authenticity goes. The separation of dunk/layup and shoot buttons was a good addition because in reality, Tony Parker would not try to go to the hole on Shaq and lay it up or dunk. With the two buttons, you can pull up for a short jumper or hang a floater. The 10-man motion is good for authenticity too. Fast breaks are down from last year and the computer doesn’t shoot 95%. The blocking is controlled and there is good defense played. Now the bad. The passing has got to change. Every time you pass, the guy has to jump up and throw a pass with his back to the defense. Franchise mode has got to take a page from Madden. It is definitely too shallow. The cut scenes do not make a game better. If anything, NO MORE CUT SCENES!! It is also very hard to inbound the ball. Overall, this is more fun to play than NBA 2K.(Had and played those games too) NBA 2K just has the franchise mode. NBA Live is going to take a minute to learn, and when you do, it will be very rewarding.

This Basketball game NBA Live 2004 is the best graphics for sports!! Also to find cheats off of cheatplanet.com! TIP:For season sextion the best team are Los Angelos Lakers,Sacramento Kings,Indiana Pacers & Toronto Raptors!! If you Liked NBA Live or NBA Shootout Games I’m pretty sure you will love this game!!!Once I Buyed This Game I Couldn’t help it , it was impossible to live without it , heck I even sometimes sneaked at bed time to play it!!! Sometimes It even felt like i’m acuatully in the video game scoring on Jason Kidd!! P.S. the hardest team you can VS is Millwakee Bucks!! It’s all because of that one player that’s always scoring 3point’s!!

Against my better judgment, I went out and purchased NBA Live 2004 after swearing off the franchise after last year’s debacle. Though I loved the hyped Freestyle Control, I found 2003 to be incredibly frustrating for it’s emphasis on arcade-like game play that allowed the opponent to score at will. But like a battered wife, I eventually found myself coming back, hoping that things would change for the better. I’m happy to say that NBA Live 2004 is light years ahead of it’s predecessor. Two major gripes I had with last year’s version were the opponent’s high shooting percentages and their ability to almost always snag the offensive rebound. Not only are these two issues fixed in this year’s edition, the entire game play engine has been overhauled as well. Based on the "All-Star" difficulty setting, which is geared towards more experienced Live players, the opponent’s defense is stingy and tough as nails. The Freestyle Control, which made it easy to breeze past defenders to the basket through a series of jukes and cross-overs, is not as effective, though it sure is pretty to watch. It’s refreshing to have to work for a score. To do so, the emphasis must now be on setting picks and using motion to free a player for an open shot. Thankfully, EA has implemented a few tools that you can use at your disposal. A new feature this year allows you to control a player without the ball. Once you feel that you’re open or have a clear path to the basket, you can call for.

The gameplay is awesome, the soundtrack is tight, the graphics will make you think youre watchin TNT, what more can I say? The problems? The soundtrack gets in your head! No, seriously, the announcers Marv and Czar mess up and call 14-pt games close. OOPS oh well, its still absolutely outstanding. 2K4s got nuthin on this. The new free style control makes the game all the more addictive, (imagine NBA Live meets NBA Street w/o the annoying announcer) the ability to choose retro jerseys (725JKUPLMM unlocks em all) makes the game a never-ending joy.Graphics:4.5/5 Sound:5/5 Gameplay:4.5/5 Fun Factor:5/5.

  9. Ausin Greene

This game is the best ever. It does have a few problems though. If you just stand there the player doesn’t face the rim. Another problem is how they changed the freethrows. One more ist the ratings. They are too low That was not smart. This game does have a lot more good than bad. Created players are nice to make. It gets harder on different levels. The dunks are better and you wont see earl bonkins try a dunk. The way they changed the square button to dunk/lay up is great. that way you can stop and take a jumpshot. The NBA store is great. This game is a have to have.
