Great game, though not much different than the other NCAA games.

I’ve spent more time playing the 2008, 2009, and 2010 version of this series then I should admit, but there are significant upgrades in each version. In the 2008 version, the receivers drop too many passes, there are FAR too many fumbles, the defenders can’t break from from blocks and the linebackers and defensive backs take horrendous attack angles on downfield tackles. Not to make an even longer laundry list, but fouls are ridiculous and the only reasonable solution is to turn off the fouls entirely, which makes onside kicks unrealistic. These problems have been largely fixed in the 2010 version. Defense in general is significantly improved in 2010 and fewer passes bounce off of wide open receivers (unless it’s a short crossing pattern… argh!).2009 was the first attempt to introduce the play simulator and it had a number of problems that were fixed in the 2010 version. Specifically, simulated onside kicks were always recovered by the kicking team, and if a touchdown was scored during simulation and there was a foul, the offensive would get the ball back, but the points stay on the scoreboard. This was fixed in the 2010 version. Simulation was generally improved, but there are still problems with the simulated defense being too good, unless the offense crosses the 50 yard line… if they make it that far, they nearly always score.I spend most of the time in dynasty mode, and these are all extremely fun and few improvements have been made or are needed. One of the i.

In spite the fact that this game and the system are by now immensely old (at least for todays standards), this game can still offer hours of endless fun. The most important thing is that you are the fan of the game itself, thentwether you play single or multi-player mode, Season or Dynasty, really doesn’t make that much difference. The developers paid a lot of attention to details, which can really be appreciatet during the latter mentioned modes. When said that the game is old, first visually it used even back then a style which its predecessors already used before it, and also older rosters go without saying. Nevertheless, this is a fun game.(The reviewer was compensated for posting this review. However, the opinion stated in the review is that of the reviewer and the reviewer alone.
