I have to admit, the folks at ea did a really good job in creating this game for the ps. the game is has a deeper dynasty mode, bowl playoff system, and create a team features more than ever. they did a really good job, but it could have been better overall. if you want a good game for ps, then get this one.

NCAA Football 2001 is very great. Once I heard about the new version of NCAA football, I begged my mom (no, really!) to but the game. I wasn’t disappointed. The realistic gameplay, the many teams, the bowls, and so many good stuff. The only thing that disappointed me in this version was the absence of the Heritage Bowl. I wonder why the EA Sports team dropped that Division 1-AA classic. If there isn’t ANY postseason games, even ONE, for Division 1-AA, why is it even there?Which leads me to a suggestion that everyone should agree: How about adding a Division 1-AA version of NCAA football next year? This way, everyone can recognize a true playoff format, become more of a pure college football team by adding tryouts and training camp reports as well as/instead of scholarships, and more stadiums and more fun will be added. Heck, why not make a two-volume set next year: one Division 1-A, the other Division 1-AA? Add more fight songs, more cheers, more powerhouses…Forget the powers of FSU, Nebraska, Michigan, USC…How about Yale and the Ivies, Georgia Southern, Youngstown State, Montana, Hofstra? If EA Sports can make a complete Division 1-AA version next year, everyone will refer the term "cupcake" only to Divisions 2 and 3. Unless, well…versions of those divisions are created, of course! The bottom line is, EA Sports’s NCAA 2001’s version looks great. On the other hand, if the EA folks are brave enough (hee hee) to add Divsion 1-AA, it’ll be even better, and all the.

This is the best game that I have ever bought. I love the dynasty, I love the controls, and I love the created schools and players, but I especially love the recruiting. You can practice plays, put yourself in tough situations. The other really good thing about the game is the momentum meter, It makes such a big difference in the game but none of the other football games have it. Whenever I play playstation this is the game that I play.buy it

Deep Dynasty mode, greatest teams of all time, and just all out college football fun. better then last years by about 50 yards, and i have had more and more fun every time i play it. All the top teams, top awards, and all the bowl games you can shake a stick at. If your a college football fan then you must have this game, don’t be fooled by the pretenders, theres only one contender.

It has been my experience that EA Sports has always had a "cult" following with their NCAA titles. Many people who do not like the real sport of college football, hate EA sports version of NCAA football. If this is you, do not buy the game. However, if you like strategy, commanding a team through a "dynasty", and real game play this title is for you. Each year the title adds new things and improves others, while keeping the game basically the same. I will not repeat all of those changes, since they are covered in the other reviews quite extensively. I will tell you that EA Sports has once again out done themselves. Few video games capture sports as well as their titles. Some basic suggestions:1. If you want a good feel for the entire game, do not always play as a perennially ranked team. Control some lesser known teams and get the full experience of the stadiums, fan chants, fight songs, and other bowl games.2. Try not to run the same plays on offense all the time. After 6 or 7 seasons of HB toss, you will master it. Part of the fun is trying to master the other plays.3. Although Dynasty mode is the reason to buy the game, the other modes are fun to play against other people. So, if you want a real type game experience buy NCAA 2001 by EA Sports. Every year I say I will not buy the new year title, too much like the old version. But, every year the little changes make the game better, without changing the game too much..

Because I prefer a realistic style of play when I play sports titles, NCAA Football 2001 is the best college football video on the planet for a few reasons:To start off with, the game is loaded with options. Exhibition, Season, Dynasty, Great Games, Tournament, and Practice modes are all available. If you’re playing a Season or Dynasty, you have access to full stat tracking and can also crown a Heisman Trophy winner at year-end. Also, the national championship game opponents are devised using the BCS system. You can create players and create teams. One of the coolest things about create-a-player mode is that if the name you give your player is in the database, the announcer will actually say it during the game. This is something small, but it was cool to hear "pass complete to Nash" when I was leading my team to victory. Also, in dynasty mode when you recruit players, more times than not their names are in the database and get used during the game. It’s attention to the little things that has kept NCAA Football on the top.In Dynasty mode you can now even recruit junior college players which is an enhancement.

EA Sports is the "Grand Master" of all sports’ games. NCAA Football 2001 is nothing short of sensational. It truly has almost anything that you can think of.The graphics are top notch, even down to the detail in the grass and painted logos. The players look quite realistic, and the stadiums are true-to-life. There are many different playing levels, each as entertaining as the next. The best part of the game, by far, is the sound. The school songs have never been clearer, not to mention the wonderful fan chants and fight songs. This truly adds to the college football game atmosphere, making a fairly complete experience. The only downfall of the game is the lack of an announcer (otherwise, it’s 5-star game).Overall, the game is one entertaining experience. It represents the college gameday feel better than any other Playstation game on the market. This game is a touchdown!

Let me start out by saying that this game did not improve very much but enough to be still one of the best games out there. In my opinion the best improvement is the RUNNING GAME.it’s ALOT better then last year’s Running game by a long shot. The Crowd improves a little better than Last year’s i like the momentum meter ALOT,it really brings something good to the game.& the games a liitle bit harder than last year’s not that much.Still, this IS the best College Football game out there & always will be! Go BAMA!
