Okay, when you read this review, you need to keep in mind that I’m 25% of the way through the game, so I haven’t seen everything it has to offer. However, I figured it’d be a good idea to get a solid review on retrolio for all of you who, like myself, were lucky enough to score a 360 on launch day and need to know what to buy. Since this was the first game I bought, it’s only appropriate that it’s the first one I review. On to the actual review…I’ve been a fan of the NFS games since NFS: Hot Pursuit back in the day, and I think it safe to say that this is the best game in the series thus far. It strikes an almost perfect balance between Hot Pursuit 2 and the Underground games- You have a wide open world to explore, but can jump from event to event if you so choose. Police will chase you, whether you’re in a race or just out for a drive. Cars range from a Chevy Cobalt SS to a Porsche Carerra GT, so you’ve got a nice mix of tuners (Supra, RX 7 and 8, but sadly no R34 Skyline), Muscle (well, really just the Mustang… but it’s pretty sweet), and of course high end (various Porsche, Lambo Gallardo, etc.)…. It seems like EA really paid attention to what people loved about the older games (good car selection, police chases, nitrous, modification) and ditched a few things that were really bothersome, i.e. having to drive from race to race in Underground 2. Oh, and the graphics are amazing. It looks respectable on Xbox, but this version is just mind-blowing.The gameplay itself is v.

The first time I played Need For Speed: Most Wanted was on release in 2005. Back then it was a great game with a decent modification system, great cop chases and an OK storyline. After moving on from NFS: MW, I tried to find subsequent titles that would rekindle that fun factor I had in the original, playing the likes of NSF: Carbon, NSF: Undercover, NSF: Hot Pursuit and NSF: The Run. Sadly, none of these quite lived up to my expectations. With the release of Criterions Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), there has actually been a spike in interest in this NSF:MW (2005). With that said, 8 years later I have re-purchased NFS:MW (2005) and will review this senior title by today’s standards. Can it still live up to 2012 gaming expectations???STORYLINE:Unlike more recent iterations in the NFS Series, MW (2005) has a pretty decent storyline. The short and basic premise is you are an out-of-towner, with a heavily modded BMW M series and you lose your car to a cheating rival (he basically sabotages your car to win the pink slip race). You must race, through a series of 15 blacklist racers to get to the top of the Street Racing scene and win your beloved M3 back. Along the way, you come in contact with characters that are there to assist you (Mia and Roger). Both of these give you needed in-game information through your Car’s Nav and Cingular messaging system. The system is a bit dated, most players might not even remember the cellular company called Cingular, but it is effect.

I have approximately 50 games and this one has yet to be dethroned. There are games that you purchase and play once or twice and then trade it in. Not this one. Most guys I know, even friends of friends, have told me that they’ve played this five or six times and won’t be trading it in anytime soon. The ones who have traded it in have ponied up the cash to purchase it again, because it is such a rush.It starts out a bit slow, but that’s for good reason. You better get familiar with the lay of the land and the shortcuts because once your name gets around, the heat is on and the cops can get extremely aggressive in taking you down. If you don’t know the streets they’ll plow you into tree or stone wall when you choke from making a wrong turn into a dead end street or if you flip your car while being chased through the rockport prison facility. What’s it all about? You’re new in town with a sweet ride. There is a group of street racers in town that, in their pursuit to be the best, cause measurable damage and cost to the city. This has caught the attention of the local police departments and they want it shutdown completely. They have a task force. The head of that task force is an unorthodox skilled driver and he’s keeping tabs on you and anybody else street racing in rockport. There’s also a knucklehead who is threatened by your presence, because he figures he’s on his way to being top dog. He starts barking, you both put up your pink slips and it’s on. Problem is he drained you.

  10. FYI HONEST OPINION

Perfect it Was A Gift For Another Person They Love It!
