Without doubt this is the best NFS in our days. Sure Underground 1 and 2 brought the tuner world in but what is all the tuning and no cops to chase people around in this game answers the call. Unlike previous games from before these cops are heavy thinkers sure Heat 1-3 maybe easy just wait till you hit Heats 4-5. Nothing but Pontiac GTO’s and Corvettes C6’s chasing after you and this time they got good helicopter to inform them what your doing and they get involved too. The Career Mode will excellent with the best ciminatics I’ve seen. The Challenge Series is great too with the heavy stuff coming in Stages 30-69. The city in the game is even more bigger than the one in Underground 2. Compare to the LA looks from UG2. This time you get a NYC kind of city especially downtown. Lots of NYC landmarks resemble in this game so you have pay close attention to it plus they mention it in the DVD. A great game for those who want the need for speed and get chase by the boys in blue. Updated 2016, still the best game to date and check my bounty which EA the other day ask how they you get such a high bounty? Playing the games for years LOL

I enjoyed playing the Need for Speed 1 back on the PSX… after awhile I stopped liking those kind of games and retired from the need for speed… then my brother got the NfS: Underground 2… awesome the way you could modify your cars and create the most powerfull machines to race on the game… I retook that on GameCube but suddenly felt the need for MORE as I started working in a different company and the guys here they were playing Most Wanted for PC…I really felt the urge to acquire the Most Wanted and I did, but not for PC as my Home computer was not the best out there… I got it for PS2! Awesome game, then I realized as I am a collector of some type I decided to look for Black Edition, unfortunatly they told me as I was not fast enough the black edidion was sold FAST as HOT BREAD!Finally, after 2 months of desperate looking, acquiring enough money by selling the normal edition I was able to purchase the game through retrolio at the price of $65 when it was going for over $150… thank God and since then as both games dont share memories I had to start all over again doing the best I can… getting all the cars of all the rivals! This is an out of the screen expirience, I recommend it highly, if you have the money and wish to purchase any of the games, better get the Black Edition if you can, its same thing +2 Cars +1 Rival more and +3 more challenges on the special challenges outside of the career mode!

Thank you Disk in great condition I’ve been playing ever since I got it. And it’s not the crappy need for speed EA is pushing out these days.

  5. Godsmack

I played this game and its awesome thanks

The need for speed black edition is way better than the regular need for speed because there are better cars!

This is an enjoyable game, with exquisite graphics and gameplay length. However, it falls between the cracks when it comes to the actual gameplay and the options you have to modify your car. It is substantially sub-par to Need for Speed: Underground 2, but is good nonetheless. The graphics on this game floored me when I played it for the first time. Compared to NFSU:2, the graphics are in a realm of their own. The police cars, backgrounds, and even the traffic are detailed down to the pixel. In NFSU:2, the traffic simply looked like tetris blocks with wheels and the background was just a bunch of buildings under an ominous black/rainy sky. Another plus was the interactive environment. The ability to knock over water towers and collapse scaffolding to slow the police down really grabbed my interest. The gameplay length was something that really stood out. Most racing games you can easily finish in the course of a few days, but for this you really had to work hard to get it done in a week and a half. There are many aspects to the game to get 100% completion, such as the career mode races and milestones and the 68 challenge mode races. I like a game that keeps me busy for a long period of time, especially when it’s a racing game. Along with the good there’s always the bad. Being that this is a “Need for Speed” title, I was expecting the usual street racing cars, along with a few twists and turns. However, this is more of a watered-down Gran Tourismo with Porches,.

I still play this game in 2012. Not a whole lot of difference between the basic MW and the Black Edition that I could notice, but, still a great game.

This game is ground-breaking. It has unbelievable cars and stunning graphics. The customizing options make you want to sit in front of your tv and play all day long. The gameplay is unimaginably fast-paced and exciting. Five out of five in my opinion.

This is definitely a game for racing fans and people who love tuning cars. In this game they actually have the exotic cars (Porsche, Lamborghini), which makes it even better. They also added cops in this game, which they never had in the previous Underground games. Now to the game. In this game there are alot of cars. You can race from the old school muscle cars to a tuned up race car. And even the police have nice and fast cars. But they can be really tough at times (especially the SUVs).The Storymode actually kept my interest throughout the whole game (unlike the others that were quite boring). There is a Blacklist that you must beat in order to become the #1 most wanted. In this Blacklist, there are 15 experienced Street racers that you must beat in order to get to the top. They each have their strengths, so it can get quite challenging at times. Another cool but at the same time annoying thing is when the cops interfere in the middle of a race and once you beat the race, you have to escape them. So it’s very interesting and fun.As for the gameplay, it’s actually easy to get used to, even though it may seem difficult. It’s also not complicated (PS2 version), it’s mainly like the previous Need for Speeds. So you’ll learn it like after the first race. The graphics are one of the things that caught my attention. It’s just so smooth and seems real. And the videos also seem very realistic and are always fun to watch and can be funny (when you get busted by a woman).Overall, there.
