Why the guys on here despise the Yobo knockoff NES system is beyond me. You get a cheap, NEW, top loading nintendo system. You cannot buy a new NES period, so buying a used real NES, likely for more money if it is in good condition, you still take chances of the old problems those things had. Plan on blowing in the door and in the cartridges to try and get dust out and avoid the flashing screen. Nintendo is not making them anymore so it’s not like they’re losing money to the Yobo system. I have a yobo and while it feels cheap, it works great for the nostalgia of every once in a while old school gaming. You just don’t need a real system unless you want it for a dust collector… er I mean collectible.

I was a little skeptical about buying a used game system online. Luckily everything worked just fine. I bought this game system for my boyfriend for his bday and he loved it!

I was raised on gameboards and NES. I left the gameboards and explored our NES system. We started out with almost 100 games, and now we have over 200! I own almost 20 of my own games today. The games aren’t all about blood, gore, and sexual content. They are more family friendly. Some of my favorites include Dragon Warrior, River City Randsom, Final Fantasy, Kirby’s Adventures, Metroid, Zelda/Link, Star Tropics, Friday the 13th, and many more. Most of these allow you to save your game, and some allow 3 or more different games to be stored at once. This system can be hard to clean on the inside, which is the only downside I can think of. Although, if you buy one used there is no guarantee that it will be clean, work, or in mint condition anyway. For all the people buying the used systems and then complaining about them: spend a few more dollars and get a brand new one! Imagine all the money you are saving by buying a classic, rather than a hyped up system with few games (each costing more than a brand new NES and a few games). The NES gets 5 stars for game selection, 5 stars for family-friendliness, and 5 stars for price.

You call yourself a gamer? But you don’t own a NES? Sure you may have an EMU but those suck compared to the real thing. To me if you want to be a true gamer, you need a real NES (or a NES-101 those are cool to and don’t fail as often but they are expansive). Here are three reasons why.1. Almost all of the classic Nintendo characters started here! Think about it. Mario, Link, Samaus, Megaman, and Kirby started here. With this system you can pick up a real copy of Super Mario Bros. or Gradius and go nuts and play them the way they were meant to be played.2. Will work on a modern HDTV. While this baby won’t have HDMI cables you can hook it up with AV cables or an RF cable. It is very easy to set up and unlike a Atari 2600 it wont require fiddling with to make it work.3. This is just a myriad of reasons… Easy to use controller. Don’t have room? This system is flat so you can stack another system or cable box on top of it. Have a buddy/sibling that you actually enjoy playing video games with? There are many great two player video games. Love RPG’s? This system is the granddaddy of em all. This system is the best system for platformers. Like to crack open and repair video game systems? This one is for you while there are many functional NES’s there are many broken ones out there.Technical specs via WikipediaFor its central processing unit (CPU), the NES uses an 8-bit microprocessor produced by Ricoh based on a MOS Technology 6502 core. It incorporates custom sound hardware and a.

I was super suprised that this came in perfect since it’s a really, REALLY old system. I had to loosen a few parts to get the cartridge tray to spit out my cartridge, but other than that it was excellent! Everything that it said it would have was there, couldn’t ask for more :)

I had a nes for 1 year now and I can only say it is awesome! But this nes is way over priced. I bought mine from a local used game shop for $60. The system is great, but 800 dollars is too much. Find one at a local game shop( not a gamestop) for much cheaper hopefully.
