In the days of new franchises dominating the market, (especially “Halo” at it’s fame right now) the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES) had a supreme domination of games during the Third-generation, and is still fun to play. What popularized the NES? Well, after the Second-generation of systems (eg. Atari 2600, ColecoVision, etc.) a flood of bad games entered the market. Most likely, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial… oh man, even saying the title isn’t worth it! It is the PRIME reason why Atari didn’t make a good hold in the Third-generation. After this incident; known as “The Video-game Crash of 1983”; all games were Commodore 64 or Arcade games. However, Nintendo took hold by releasing the console that launched the re-birth of home-game consoles; the NES; after the success of Donkey Kong in Arcade markets. To rival it’s success, Sega released the Sega Master System. However, Nintendo dominated with it’s extremely broad library of games like Super Mario Bros. 1-3, The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Dragon Warrior, Contra, Metroid, Castlevania, and Double Dragon. However, Double Dragon was ported to a wide array of game consoles, even the Sega Master System had it’s own version. However, at the end of the NES lifespan, all good things come to an end… with a better comeback! Nintendo re-entered the Fourth-generation with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (or SNES); to rival with Sega’s already released 16-bit console, the Sega Genesis. However, Nintendo still dominated while S.

What can I tell ya? The original Nintendo. Back when games only had the A and B buttons. This system pioneered the way for the video game industry. Although it suffers from the flashing start up light syndrome.

My NES came in a well packaged box and had more than I expected. The shop included 3 games and an NES Zapper. Everything was flawless, besides afew sticky spots from a label. But, if you have any dirt or a sticky spot just get a Magic Eraser, it flew off for me XD. I took it apart and the inside was pretty clean, there was only one little spot I needed to clean up. Also, my console wasn’t yellowed at all! The only problem I had is that Tetris didn’t work even after thorough cleanings but, it was a bonus item so I can’t complain. All in all it is one of the greatest consoles in history and I recommend it tenfold.
