Silver Story – March 12, 2023

i like this game. i know most have played the series and comparing it to the previous ones. but since it is my 1st NHL game for years. my last one i think was 06 in the PC. it is a good game and we all know EA would push all its sports title with Ultimate team (money making machine). not saying it is bad, but they are leaning towards that mode across all their sports game.

Don’t know why the bad ratings? Great graphics & gameplay. Hockey family here & my son got for PS4 today from Santa, loves game. I watched him play, gameplay seemed just like past EA NHL Games but better. EA hit this one on the nose with in game details & the commutating is great also…

Lets not scew this…NHL 15 is an awesome game. Gamplay wise. The GM Mode is fine. Nothing great, nothing bad. Be a Pro is fine. Waiting for your shift sucks but is it really that big of a deal? No.No create-a-team sucks I agree but I can live without it.No fantasy draft for GM Mode SUCKS really bad. FIX IT! Madden did.THE PART THAT SUCKS UNDENIEABLY IS NO ONLINE MULTI PLAYER MODE. I used to have buddies come over and we’d play for hours and it was INTENSE. Probably my favorite part of any game ever. No lie. Beers, buddies and playing "chell" against random people online was so fun.So overall you will not be dissapointed with the gameplay. It’s a lot of fun but not having fantasy drafts and mainly online multiplayer is assinign!!! Fix it and you will have (again) the best sports video game. For right now the knod has to go to NBA 2K15.

People talk a lot of trash about this game, but it is definitely an improvement from NHL 14. It doesn’t quite live up to the hype that surrounded it, but it’s worth buying now that it’s so cheap.

Great graphics and very fun to play. I never played all the extra options that people are complaining about, so it’s not a big deal for me. If you just like playing with friends/family and online versus, the game is great! I took off one star for the lack of content, but thankful they put this out and didn’t make me wait any longer to play on my next gen console!

Everyone knows about all the modes and details omitted from the game. It sucks. I know, we know, get over it. I beat the EASHL/OTP drum as loud as anyone. I loved the EASHL and I thought it was one of the best (if not the best) multiplayer gaming experiences one could have with their friends. I’m hoping for a patch that at least brings in OTP (it’s coming in the near future) but until that happens I’m going to make due with what’s available. With that said, here’s my review on the launch edition of NHL 15.The gameplay is very smooth this year. Skating, hitting, shooting, passing are all on point and precise. Player collision is more realistic with players colliding with teammates, and opponents rubbing off of weak body checks. It takes more effort to put someone down with a crushing blow than it did in previous years installments. Goalies look fluid in the net and suffer from realistic rebound opportunities rather than the “glitch goal” from the top of the circles. Board play seems to be a bit underwhelming and underdeveloped as most scrums end in a turn over rather than a successful jockeying for the puck from the offense. EA talked up their crowd animations and variance, but in my experience crowds seem to suffer from repetition in movement and many of the same models are repeated when the camera cuts into the crowd. This is a bit surprising since the game was marketed as having the largest variance in crowd in all of EA title’s. If there are 9,000+ different.

People giving this game one or two stars are missing the boat. This is a damn good game, best hockey game I have played by far. Yea, it is missing a few features, but I can live with that because they actually revamped the game play on the next gen consoles, and to me that is what matters the most.I could understand the negativity if EA was just putting out the same old crap that was missing features, but that isnt the case, this game is much improved. It is too bad they dont do the same with Madden, the game play could really use a refresh. Features are awesome, but to me they will always be secondary to the actual game play, and EA is finally getting it right.Pros: Realistic, smoother online game play, amazing graphics, physics engine is fantasticCons: Missing features in older versions, some of which will be patched
