This is the first time I actually went out of my way to spend money on a physical copy of an anime. As a stereotypical anime watcher I am not very eager to spend what little money I have on stuff I do not absolutely have to. That being said, I am very very VERY satisfied with this purchase. The discs and the box came in perfect condition (I was worried they would be cracked but I couldn’t find a single flaw so kudos to the retrolio packaging guy). If you have not watched the show already I would most definitely recommend you watch it as soon as possible, everything about this show is beautiful. From the soundtrack to the bright colorful world it takes place in, I found myself staying up all night to watch the entire show in one sitting. However, on the back of the disc box you can clearly see the show is rated MAThis is for a very good reasonI don’t know how they did it, or why they did it (fanservice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ), but the people behind this anime somehow managed to fit a nudity scene into almost if not every episode of this show. Now personally I’m not complaining (I don’t mind one bit and neither do most people who watch anime), and technically they never directly show anything that shouldn’t be shown in public (they did a good job at censoring out private parts), but if you were considering buying this and watching it with mom and pop and the rest of your family I would recommend you rethink your life choices as your family will probably never treat you in the same way.Amazin.

Didn’t like that very loud narration. Turning the volume down decreased everything but that.

the comedic value of the regular anime in contrast with the seriousness of the origin movie really helps put things in perspective and gives the anime even more flavor to say. i really enjoyed the movie would watch again and hope for a second season for no game no life

I fell in love with everything about this anime movie: the story, the characters, the moral lessons, the love and pain and friendship, and the graphics is stunning. This is a movie I will definitely watch again and fall in love with it all over. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes anime, specially if you’re a fan of sci-fi with some romance and good action.

I myself love the artwork in this movie, the attention to detail, the vibrant colors, the quality production is definitely apparent. The story is in contrast to the series, but develops the concept of what the series comes to be about. Best way to explain it briefly without spoiling it. I really enjoy this series and am glad to have been able to finally see why this world came to be what it is. It answers a lot of questions while presenting new ones to ponder. The movie is essentially a prequel of necessary information to better understand the series. In my humble opinion it is probably better to watch season 1 of the series “No Game, No Life” BEFORE this movie because the action level in this movie is much greater for an entirely understandable reason. The “reason” being the main plot device for the series. PAY ATTENTION TO THE END if you intend to watch the movie before the series, pause if you have too. This is true canon for the series. So if you’re hooked on the series, you’ve watched this movie, and are now waiting for season 2… so are the rest of us. Hopefully from what I’ve read, it’s a pretty good chance we will see as season 2 after the light novel finishes up.

One of my personal favorites and a fresh breath of air into a genre that is being beat half to death by popularity. If you liked Lelouch’s antics in Code Geass, you’ll enjoy the protagonists of No Game No Life just as much. Be warned, it’s fairly heavy on fanservice. Protective parents should give this a watch on netflix or something before deciding if they’re ok with their children watching.
