I bought this game for my son after his father brought home deerhunter. I took the deerhunter game back and bought the most monster-infested game I could find. The plot is the norm, man dies, man is brought back, man must fight stuff and get the bad dude who is at the end of the trail.Awesome!!!!!!Great gore, great monsters, and most of all, not only do you have to beat the monsters, sometimes, we got stuck for 15 to 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do to get to the next level. One must get thru a sewer, the eiffel tower, and lots of other levels that go on for a great long time. What a decent amount of work for the game programmers. This game makes you think. I do not recommend this game for a young child, but for a teen or advanced pre-teen, it is a decent brain teaser. We still can’t figure out how to get onto the last screen. The gore level can be chosen, and it is a great outlet for anyone having a bad day. Remember, in Deerhunter, you are killing innocent creatures! This is so much fun!As a Fangoria loving mom, I really liked the gore.Plus, my son’s batting average jumped 100 points after having these games.I recommend this game as a great find to have if you like the creepy crawly side of life. Also, we bought it from retrolio.com, and it was in great condition, and was shipped faster than I signed off the computer. Great service!

I purchased this game back when I had an original playstation and loved it. Then I got a PS2 and I couldn’t save my progress on it, so I got rid of the game. I recently saw this in a used game store and decided to give it a try with my PS3. First, it looks horrible by today’s standards. It’s totally bitmapped on my 1080p 40″ LCD TV. However, the spirit of what I loved about this game still remains. I can’t help but be sucked in to the game play and storyline. Considering this game came out in 2000, the graphics and effects are still pretty good. The curtains blowing in the wind look really good, as does some of the detail on the creatures. Game play is pretty simple and the beasts can get a little repetitive, but who cares? It’s got gruesome fatalities, lots of roaring, and lots of blood spatter. I would, however, suggest playing it on a standard 19 to 26 inch screen in order to get smoother images. At any rate, it’s fun for the whole demented family.

I love it!The graphics are good for a PS1 game and the storyline is interesting.

I fell in love with this game just after the first few moments of playing it!It has all the sadistic, horrific charm you would expect in such a title. As an ax-weilding,demented research subject you start out by breaking out of your asylum, and then venturing to diffrent cities like London and Paris. To get the feel of the game, you can start off in “therapy” mode (training),where two monsters will continualy generate so you can practice you moves. After you have hacked at your foe enough,a “FATALITY” message will appear. At that time you can finish him by lopping off his head, and the chopping up the monster’s corpsewith blood splatter galore. There are other diffrent kinds of finishing moves you can execute, but this is the only move that the game tells you how to do(X,X,O). Voice acting is well done, but there is a problem with the soundtrack…while you might get hooked in by the “Rob Zombie” headline, his music only plays during cinemas…not during the gameplay. While you are playing the game, what little music there is,is standard Resident Evil type music. That’s really too bad, because Rob Zombie’s music would have definatly went with this type of gameplay. The graphics although a bit dated, are still very good in my opinion. The monsters look more twisted as you progress(the guys with chainsaws!),and the enviroment perfectly reflects the dark nature of this game. However sometimes the game uses the “pitch black dark effect” making it very difficult to see where you are going….you’l.

Purchased from DiscX.A great and fun cheesy 90s classic. Plays a little slow (a product of it’s time I guess). shop shipped it fast and was even resurfaced. Thanks for providing great memories. Will buy from DiscX again for more games
