Hey That’s My Fish is without question the easiest game I own. That being said, it is still quite fun and has a surprising depth of strategy. In the game players will take control of a group of penguins. The number of penguins each player get changes based on the number of players (4 for a 2 player, 3 for a 3 player, 2 for a 4 player). The penguins will be placed on hexagonal tiles that have 1-3 fishes. On your turn you will move a penguin in a straight line any direction as far as you want, with the caveat being you cannot jump over other penguins or empty spaces. Whatever space you were on initially you will pick up and add to your collection. That’s all it is. Its a tactical game where you’re trying to figure out ways to get the most fish while limiting your opponents. it allows for some clever maneuvering with very minimal rules. Children as young as 5 could probably grasp the idea, possibly younger, while adults will find enough strategy here to be entertained.

Incredibly simple game idea, yet very very excellent gameplay!!! The variety in the way the board is set up, along with 2-4 players and the different amounts of penguins really makes this a hard game to master. I have played it with adults, grandparents, and young cousins…. and EVERYONE wins!!! It is a game that can be taught in 5 minutes and played in 10….. setting the ice board back up for the next game takes about 5 minutes too…. overall, this is a great game to have on reserve for whenever you need to convince some "non-board game" players to give something new a try, and yet an experienced gamer will still appreciate the combination of randomness and skill that is developed in this game….. Worth every penny, and BEWARE: games can get pretty intense sometimes…. and you’ll find yourself actually shouting out, "Hey, That’s My Fish!!" to the other players.

I love chess, but it’s hard to convince friends to play chess with you when you win more times than not. This is a fun strategy game that is easy to convince friends to play lol. Very similar to "game of retrolios." I am tempted to purchase an extra set so that I can play with a larger playing field

My family isn’t much into games with the exception of rummy and other card games. This means that I usually struggle to get any member of my family to try any of the games I bring with me when we are going to get together. However, when I described this one my sister was willing to allow her children (8 and 6) to try it. There was a bit of a problem getting my 6 year old niece to understand how things go, and neither of the children did a good job of looking and planning ahead, but both loved the game and immediately wanted to play again. The game itself is so simple its almost scary. Setup takes only a few minutes and game play is straightforward, with no dice or cards involved. I managed to teach a 6 year old how to play and while the strategy might confuse her, she still had a wonderful time. This is a great gateway game or one for a quiet afternoon when no one wants to have to think while playing a game. I definitely recommend this one.

A fun game of strategy, can frustrate some players if they get picked on and out of the game early though. Also takes a while to set up and picking up the pieces inside the board is annoying, I wound up buying suction cups for it.

Another great product from Fantasy Flight Games. My stepdaughter had asked Santa for a penguin board game. Luckily this one came right to mind and it pretty fun. Simple to set up and learn to play with a good amount of strategy to get the most fish for your hungry penguins. My 6 year old stepdaughter easily caught on and played to the best of her abilities.

Wonderful game that induces violent cussing almost immediately as people steal your coveted positions and fish. You’ll feel sheer joy as you block your opponents on isolated floes and see their hopes and dreams crsuhed.Great for kids too.

Fun game of light strategy for maximizing point collection with an appealing and cute theme for kids, but appealing play for grown-ups too. So far, we’ve only played this with 2 players. The game moves quickly and would move even faster with additional players. I recommend playing a couple of rounds at a time because you can see the kids learning how to play better as the game goes on.I like adding fun, compact and well-priced games to our collection, and this game is just that. The physical size of this game box is 5" x 5" and the lower price for a scaled-down version works great for me.

It’s a little smaller than I would like
