Nintendo’s classic Paper Mario franchise gets a fresh 3D look in its hand-held debut! There’s trouble in the town of Decalbur, where the devious Bowser has disrupted the beloved Sticker Fest by causing the Sticker Comet to explode and in result, scattered the six Royal Stickers across the land. It’s up to Mario and his sticker fairy ally Kersti to recover them. New and experienced fans of the Paper Mario franchise will be able to navigate colorful 3D environments, but the game will still tailor to the gameplay from the original Paper Mario. Stickers are the backbone of Mario’s newest adventure in which players use stickers found in the game to not only win battles, but to solve puzzles as well.

I always enjoyed the original paper Mario and was a little skeptical about this one but ended up truly enjoying it. And it was delivered fairly quick.

I figured might as well get it, Mario games are all good. This one is definitely fun. I was a little skeptical but after playing it’s actually good. My girlfriend is also very pleased with it. Kinda like the gameplay of the Mario and Luigi games how they battle but not the same. Bottom line it’s a good game :)

Its a different feel than the traditional mario game, it was a nice mix of side scrolling with some rpg thrown in there. This game was fun,had a nice story, good worlds and bosses. Now that being said this game might not please hard core rpg fans, but for me it was nicely done game that was easy and fun and at times it was tough but nothing insane. This game has the classic nintendo formula which is to appeal to kids and adults which it did. I recommend this game to any 3ds owner that is looking for this type of game.

Came and functioned perfectly. But it’s still a bad game. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Learning curve on this is a bit weird- in some areas the tutorials seem to hold your hand afraid you’ll fall over walking from a to b, and in others you wasted tons of stickers on something before the game explains a non-intuitive unique game mechanic to you. Fun and silly, but might appeal more to younger fans than longtime gamers.

My daughter has been eyeing this game and waiting patiently for it since getting her 3ds for Christmas. It finally was cheap enough so I decided to treat her to it for her bday. She was over the moon to get this game has been watching things online about it for weeks now. I was honestly afraid she would be disappointed once she got it like when you build something up so much and then it falls flat well happy to say not the case at least for her. It is everything she wa hoping to enjoy in the game. Yes there are things I think it could have done better with like more levels/leveling up and really seems like could be so many more stickers but who knows maybe they plan on another one to improve where this version fell a little short. So far has not been overly hard for her then again she is 10 so not sure how hard it would be for the younger set.I am pleased with it since she likes it so much. I prefer more of a role playing game myself which this is not .

I personally love the Paper Mario franchise. I really enjoyed Sticker Star but I would say it is not as good as the original or 1k Door

I’ve played every single Paper Mario game since the franchise first came out, and I just had to get this one. While the gameplay is simple and easy to maneuver, there are some areas I’m not so happy about in this game. I know that Nintendo was trying to add some features to the game so it would look good in the 3D function, but I just wished that it was more paper-like. I also wish that they didn’t get rid of the partners in this game. It would’ve been pretty awesome to have a handheld paper mario game that was like the original and TTYOD. Overall great game with lots of exploration and fun gameplay.

The 3D effects are very good in this game and there are a variety of ways to use the ‘stickers’ in the game, but as far as it being a real rpg like the other Paper Mario games, it isn’t one, per say. There is no xp so you don’t grind like in a jrpg and you unlock new stickers as you go along each area. The tuturial sections of the game seem kind of long (the crown on the cover of the game is like Navi in the Zelda games – won’t shut up and is annoying as possible. So it is fun, but it’s not a game that requires you to do much as an rpg.

I first played Paper Mario Color Splash and didn’t even know of Sticker Star. I had such a good time playing Color Splash with my son and once completed, I knew I had to find another game that was just like it. So I searched and was ecstatic to have found Sticker Star! It was a lot of fun! It is quite similar to Color Splash (though I’d say Color Splash is a bit better). Sticker Star is a very entertaining enjoyable game. I recommend it.
