  1. the dubious yet lovable critic

A fantastic addition to the Persona series. I’m also a huge fan of rhythm games, having put hundreds of hours into Frequency, Pump it Up, DDR, etc. So when I heard that Atlus was making a rhythm game starring the Persona cast, that was win win!It was great seeing the old Persona cast again. The only odd part was hearing Yu actually speak. I didn’t realize he even had a voice! All the other voices are the same voice actors as the Persona 4 Golden as far as I can tell. So obviously, in traditional Persona fashion, the characters are fantastic! The story itself is kind of meh. But you gotta cut them some slack on this front. When the premise of the game is dancing, it’s kind of difficult to come up with a fantastic plot. The gist of the story is that you must dance to "free" Shadows….it sounds dumb…and admittedly it kind of is but it works here. But at the end of the day. This is a rhythm game. The story isn’t important. The characters aren’t important. The graphics aren’t important. The MUSIC is what makes a rhythm game. And boy is the music in this game fantastic! Which comes to my next point.Headphones are mandatory for this game! I cannot stress this enough. When I first started playing, I actually wasn’t getting that into it. Playing with headphones is an entirely different experience! Unfortunately, the pathetic Vita speakers are not up to the task of doing this game justice. Once I put my headphones on, I was amazed at how much the experie.
