    great game

I purchased this game about seven years ago as some punk kid and loved it. Having to share it with my seven siblings, it became scratched and would no longer play. I’ve spent the last four years trying to find a functioning copy that wasn’t marked up so high in price, my meager, humble budget couldn’t afford it. I purchased this game from you a while back, and I wanted to play it through so I could properly gauge the quality of the whole game. (which explains my delay in rating! Sorry about that.) I was NOT disappointed. The game was like new. I’d say it was even better than the original game I bought pre-used many years ago as well. Thanks for providing such a quality game for such an affordable price. I can now replay a childhood favourite, as some punk adult. My family and I have enjoyed countless hours of this classic.

I got rid of this game years ago and I regret doing so. Had to pick it up again. It’s a diamond in the rough!

This game has one of the most unique and captivating story lines of any game I have ever played. In fact, almost every aspect of Phantom Dust is unique and captivating. I play this on my Xbox 360, and still have to kind of stop in shock every now-and-then remembering that this is an original XBOX game (not 360!). The graphics and (especially) cutscenes are beyond beautiful. This is by far one of the most addicting, detailed, thoughtout, and down right fun games I have, and probably ever will play.

I remember playing this a few times back in the day and enjoying it. So I purchased a slightly used copy here at retrolio. Game was in good condition. Only going to be playing the single player missions. I know there is an updated HD version available for the Xbox One, but I don’t have one of those – just the xbox original and a 360. I’m happy with my purchase.

Awesome game! It did stand the test of time for me. Extra points for nostalgia factor! This game leaves me longing for a sequel or a remake. Crowdfunding anyone??

For a budget price of only $20 when it first came out, its even lower now this game has alot in the disc. The sinle player has over 100 missions with plenty of practice on the way for you to get into multiplayer, but unfortunatley the multiplayer servers are gone and your left with only single player but you can still play split screen. I’d say the only thing negative about the game is its control, its repetitive arena(you’ll fight 3 bosses in the same area along with missions that take place in the same exact area) other then that its a pretty fun game that you can tell a lot of thought went into making. Its not too easy not too hard but challenging enough for you to mix up your tactics as the AI are no slouch.I’d reccomend this to any RPG/strategy/adventure fan.

Phantom Dust is a combination of strategy and action game for the original XBox. It plays just fine on the XBox 360, and is still quite fun. You’re a young man in a futuristic, desolate world of despair. A mysterious dust has descended which has removed peoples’ memories. They only have a call to go to a mysterious ruins. Sort of like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but instead of sculpting Devil’s Tower out of mashed potatoes, this time they’re dreaming about shattered buildings. The key to dealing with the monsters you encounter along the way is figuring out which four skills you want to equip at any given time. There are a wide range of skills you find scattered around each combat map, but you can only grab four of them. Do you want to load up on defensive skills? Get a balance of defensive and offensive? Go for the light, short range attacks or invest in long range heavy ones? There are of course different kinds of enemies, each with their own weaknesses. You partner up with a companion who might or might not be helpful. You have to look at the scenario before you, look at the skills being offered, and make your strategic best decision. When you’re actually in the fight, it’s not slow, turn based decision-making. It’s fast and furious. So you have to remember what button you tied each skill to, dodge attacks, reflect missiles, launch your own salvos, often while keeping track of multiple enemies.I played this in 2012 and clearly modern gaming graphic quality has come a wa.

You will not find a game like this anywhere else. If you like the stratagy of CCGs but think a simple card game is a waste when playing a video game, try Phantom Dust. It has all the stratagy of a CCG with a more interactive and action oriented presentation.
