This game is stunning and a great remake of my personal favorite generation. Emerald was my first pokemon game ever that I alone owned and didn’t have to share with my older brothers and I played it probably 1000 times through. This remake makes playing the game fun all over again. A little bit dissapointed they removed the charachter customization that was in XY but it’s not needed. My dad also got Ruby version of this game and after exclusively playing pokemon yellow on an old game boy he really loves the new style of gameplay and the animations.

So, against the popular opinnion, this was one of my more favorite pokemon games when I was younger. With all the added features and such, this has probably become THE most awesome Pokemon game I’ve ever played ever.No faults that I’ve seen minus Nintendo playing around with what pokemon you can use during metagame.

There was a difference in opinion here on whether this game actually worked in a 2DS console. Of course 3DS games in "general" can play in 2 dimensional format in a 2DS console, however that was theoretical information. I needed someone who had *actually* played the game in a real 2DS console. Also the outside of the package says "Playable in 2D", however that is not the same as saying this actually works in a 2DS console. It simply means that you can play the game in 3 dimensions or move the slide to make it play in only 2 dimensions. Finally, you now have real confirmation. We bought this as a Christmas gift and on Christmas day it was inserted into an actual 2DS player console and it works and plays fine! No more guessing or suppositions.

By far one of my most favorite Pokemon games ever. Having played the original R/S/E I was able to compare the differences in aging, and I have to say, this is one superb game. It runs circles around XY and is a joy to play. The region is well developed, and despite what certain websites would say, there is not "too much water". My only complaint is that this game is a little lacking in some of the areas Emerald expanded on, such as the battle frontier.

There isn’t an issue with the foreign variant of this game. The only difference between, the US version and this version, is the little circle that says it’s from Malaysia on it. That’s the only difference. The game itself works great, it saves and I’m able to go online, and trade Pokémon with others and my other 3ds.

This game takes a while to get interesting. It felt like a chore compared to Pokemon X until about a third or a half of the way through the game. It’s more of a rehash of the original Sapphire than I had hoped, but once you get to a certain point, this game is great. I’m a sucker for nostalgia, so the (mostly) same old adventure with new moves and game mechanics is a lot of fun.

NOSTALGIA! NOSTALGIA! NOSTALGIA!Oh, did I say this game has "NOSTALGIA!’? I did? Then my apologies, but I had to stress that. I’m one of those people who after Gen IV said, "No thanks" to Pokémon. But guess what? Nintendo/ Game Freak just had to come up with a $40 bundle of NOSTALGIA!Pros:-3D Remake of RSE [Gen 3]-Gen 3 with Gen 6 features -DEXNAV DEXNAV DEXNAV -Super Training for EV training -Just imagine it, your freshly hatched level 1 Treecko with 252 special attack EVs, 252 speed EVs, and 4 special defense EVs-Mega Evolutions -Latias-Gen 3 with proper phys/spec stat split-Gen 3 with Gen 6 shiny rate-Gen 3 with Internet play <3-Gen 3 was blessed by Lord HelixCon:-You will occasionally encounter the terribad post Gen 4 PokémonNeutral:-Exp Share makes the game a breeze

I have been playing pokemon for god knows how long now, and the games never get old. In fact, sapphire was my favorite game out of the entire collection so far, other than the original blue version, which will always be my first and favorite. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when they made mega evolutions for pokemon, seeing as this is kind of another way to keep the game interesting, but my doubts were unfounded, as the game is as great as ever. Of course, I own Omega Ruby also, but either game is worth the price and is definitely one of the best they have remade. Another cool feature that they added was being able to catch the legendaries from other games, although you cant catch the ones from X or Y. Other than that, i would recommend this game to any pokemon fan out there.

What can be said about this game? Well, for a starter I’ll preface that even though it’s a remake, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life, if not the best. The story is still classic, it takes a lot of influence from the original Sapphire game but updates it a little, giving new, impressive designs to the characters and making them even more memorable than before. Every single one has a distinct personality and it’s wonderful to see these characters grow and change. New characters have been added too, as well as a brand new "arc" at the end of the game, after you’ve beaten the champion. That story was so game-changing it really solidified the game for me. Let me put the new content like this: you get to capture Rayquaza, Mega Evolve him, ridE HIM INTO SPACE AND USE HIM TO DESTROY A METEOR THAT’S HEADING FOR THE EARTH AND HOLY WOW HOW MUCH COOLER DOES IT GET THAN THAT??This is one of the times where the 3D capabilities of the 3DS has been really great, really functional, and it isnt used 24/7 so it doesn’t make your head hurt. The graphics are cute and appealing and amazingly well detailed. It’s a beautiful game. It really, really is. The grass ripples in the wind, the water’s beautifully done (and for a game centered around water that’s pretty important!), the space scene is absolutely breathtaking. When you battle your Pokemon under some conditions it adds special effects like raindrops falling on the touch screen, it’s a nice touch really. You can tel.

As a long time Pokemon fan (since ’96!) I just had to get Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I had high expectations for this title after having watched the trailers a few dozen times. Let me say that this game far surpassed all of my expectations. Alpha Sapphire stays true to the nostalgia of the original title while also building upon and surpassing the experience.I enjoyed the graphics, the music, and the gameplay and highly recommend this game to both veterans and newbies alike.
