Great game i prefer this one over sun and moon. There are tons of stuff added but early game is slow and feel like nothing has change but it will pay off.If you are just a casual player who only play for the storyline then this might dissapoint you.

This game delivered so much more than I thought it would. It has been an absolute blast and the things they added to the story make the game very immersive and memorable. Highly recommended!

This game has a great story angraphics, and I played through it four times in a row at one point. Doesn’t get old.

I love Pokemon. Its no sun rehash. Its a different storyline, but on the islands still. Not nearly as "hand holdy" and very fun. Been playing for over 20 years, and still enthralled by this game!

I don’t see why many people are complaining that this is just an enhanced Sun/Moon and that it doesn’t have a lot of new content (which I highly disagree on) since Pokemon has always done this with their games. There are a lot of quality of life changes along with many more pokemon available and a different story that makes it superior to Sun/Moon. Graphics are also much more vibrant. If you liked Sun/Moon you will love this but if you didn’t I don’t really recommend purchasing this game. I think it’s a great game and a great way to finish off the Pokemon games for the 3ds. Highly recommend.

What makes this game so great:- Revamped story with Necrozma and ultra recon squad- Challenging battles later in the main game- Quality of life improvements and new UI- New awesome music- Wormhole exploration- Hidden extra lore (usually dark if you’re into that)- Mantine surfing is surprisingly really fun- Minor differences from the original that make the experience a bit more enjoyable- New pokemon and forms- Rainbow rocket postgameI will admit that part of game does fells kind of lame if you’ve already played Sun/Moon, especially since those games just came out last year. The start of the game and from the climax onward do feel pretty hype though.Definitely recommend if you haven’t played sun/moon, or have played them and really liked them. If only slightly liked the originals, I recommend skipping this one.

It’s Pokemon, and it’s fun as always with multiple great features and access to more Pokemon from previous generations. But this is definitely not a game for someone who has thoroughly played through the original Sun and Moon and is looking for some new story content (doesn’t really happen until near the end and postgame). If you have not played Sun and Moon before, this is the best version to get in terms of amount of game content.

I recently purchased this game for my son who had saved up his birthday money from this Summer in anticipation of this game. He LOVES it and it provides endless hours of fun, along with plenty of replay value! My youngest can’t wait to get the other version for Christmas hopefully so he can have just as much fun as his brother is having! Definitely recommend!

The differences between the base game and this updated "Ultra" version was really refreshing. Overall the game had a faster pace than the vanilla games and like most pokemon games was a blast to play. However, there aren’t many new pokemon (about 2 or 3) and after you’ve beat it entirely the drive to replay or continue play it is a bit low because there isn’t quite enough new content to keep bringing you back for more. If you are a competitive player this game is great because move tutors are available and the BP is not only easy to obtain but fun as well thanks to the mantine surf minigame!

Overall-a good game for the last Pokemon game for the Nintendo 3DS.This is NOT a sequel and was never advertised as a sequel (for the many that are giving negative reviews because they thought it was a sequel). There are changes through out the game that make it a little different than the original Sun and Moon games. I haven’t played all the way through it yet so I am still waiting to see what other changes and additions they have made.
