Good choice and works very well and brings back childhood memories from when I initially got it when I was in Japan.
ColeKris –
Good enough

Start button doesn’t always work but something like that on a system this old isn’t really that bad

My son wanted this so I purchased it as a gift for him. He was very happy and since it has been a while since this review that I gave it to him, I am happy to say that it still is working great and he is continuing to enjoy it.

UPDATE; EDIT:After I started using the gameboy it started working just fine with everything. The left D-Pad is registering, the power button is fine, I even tested the audio Jack with plug in headphones and the left and right side worked perfectly. Only reason no 5 star is some VERY minor cosmetic “damage” for lack of better term. A few scuffs on the body of the console, but nothing affecting play/usability. The screen even had that little peel away plastic like you get on a cell phone even though it came in generic packaging.I read the reviews, broke down and bought one, and I have to give it 3.5 to 4 stars only because the power button on it needs to be slightly toggled before it actually turns on and registers the game loading, the Left button on the D-Pad seems to be off center so it takes a minute to get the device to register a press down on it, if not a quick shake of the handheld to wriggle around the inside mechanics, and after a power off, there is a good 2 to 3 second freeze frame of whatever game played, that takes s bit to fade out. Trying to decide if I want to take wathe time to pay shipping and send it back, in hopes for a better working model, but I’m not sure yet. Will try to repost with a follow up.
