You’ll never want to use a cheap volleyball again. This is a standard indoor tournament ball. It feels great. My student athletes always ask to borrow it instead of the school supplied rubber or softie volleyballs, because there’s so much more control over the ball. To me it was worth the price.

Big volleyball fan here, I watch more than I play but that’s besides the point. As a volley fan it didn’t feel right to not have my own ball so I wanted to get the official game ball that I often see in the games I watch online.- Feels great. Good ball for hitters, at least for me I found it was easier to make full contact with this ball than with a Molten. Felt a bit easier to pass with this ball as well.- Good for setting. Some people complain about this ball being harder to set with, but I’ve experienced the opposite. I feel like my setting has improved with this ball, and some people have actually noticed and went out of their way to let me know which is definitely a big confidence-booster as an intermediate player.- Float serve. It’s almost as if this ball was designed for float serves! With a good float serve I found it much more difficult to pass than a float serve with other balls. Obviously if you’re really good at float serves using any ball can be pretty lethal, but this one I found to be much more difficult to pass when it comes to floaters. It just moves a lot more in the air than other balls, making it quite unpredictable and hard to track.Overall, I highly recommend this ball. I take it with me to open gyms and people love using it just because everyone knows it’s the official ball, even though there’s a newer one out already. Definitely has a different feel, but different in a good way. Definitely enjoying this ball and looking forward to improving my skills w.

I’ve previously ordered MVA200 from the internet only to figure out that they were fake balls, this time i order 6 balls for my team and they feel like the real thing. The only downsize that you need to take under account is that if you order them they come up full of air and if you need to carry them with you for example in a luggage… you will also need to buy a needle which do not come with the balls in order to deflate them and be able to package them (i have purchased Mikasa original ball in the past which came with the needle so i was expecting to get one with the balls)To sum up – Highly recommended ball, my volleyball team enjoys it.

We have been playing for 5 years on sand with the Mikasa Beach Volleyball, finally started playing indoors as weather does not permit outdoor play, went with out favorite brand. Most players loved the ball, while a few felt that it was a bit hard, it just takes getting used to it.

  5. D.K.

I own many volleyballs, but this is the one I gravitate towards, when I practice setting (which is all the time).Feels great in the hand, has a nice rebound. Does get a little slick when people start sweating, but that is part of the game, you’ll learn to deal.It will last you forever, as long as you don’t abuse it (use it outside/around sharp objects/kick it)Still a great option, even though there is a newer model.

  6. Jered Cuenco

Great ball for setters and hitters. Definitely harder to pass than the more common Tachikara’s which are softer. The texture on this makes it a setter’s dream though. Even high spin balls can be braked and set easily. Lower level players don’t want to play with this ball unless you slightly under inflate this to make it softer. Big hitters like the solid contact and satisfying "thump."

I ordered 6 balls. 1 arrived first and the remaining 5 arrived later. They are all brand new and in perfect condition. However, I noticed that the one that arrived first is slightly different from the remaining 5. The feeling and weight are the same, but the color is a tiny bit different and the rubber where the pin goes in is white, whereas with the other 5 is black. Also the printing of the bar code and ball pressure details is different. So I am a little concerned if both versions are original or if one of them isn’t. Appreciate your kind feedback. Thanks

I ended up really liking this vball. It’s definitely not a beginner’s or intermediate’s vball to use. It takes time to get used to it and has a higher learning curve. You have to adjust a lot of your skills with the MVA200, especially passing. I shanked my passes a lot when I first played with it. I had to really adjust my passing skills with the MVA200. It is not as forgiving as the other vballs. It is great for setters (grips easy), hitters and especially float servers. This vball floats like crazy if you hit the sweet spot. Also for float serves, it has a tendency to just drop in front of you.A lot of people hate using this vball b/c they are not used to it and find it very difficult to play with it. However, once you adapt and learn how to play with it, it really is a better vball compared to the traditional vball or the Molten 5000. If you are having a lot trouble with it, I’d recommend playing with the Molten 5000 (a lot easier to pick up and play) for a bit and then retrying the MVA200. If you are willing to put the time and effort, you will enjoy the MVA200.

  9. K Bolanos

I am a very active player, between coaching and playing I spend five days per week doing volleyball, I’m a little disappointed because I really wanted to play with this ball but not too many people like it. It feels heavier and slippery, I personally like it for setting since it feels smaller than other balls but it does feel hard for the arms for passing.

  10. Tarik E. Sivonen

The ball came deflated. This caused some wrinkles that are not affecting the feel or play of the ball. They are still visible if you look for them. I do think that next time I’ll ask to only get an inflated ball. I still prefer the old leather Tachikara.
