Amidst the scorched sands of ancient Persia, there is a legend spun in an ancient tongue. It speaks of a time borne by blood and ruled by deceit. It is within this war torn land that a young Prince discovers a magic dagger. Embark on a journey of scorched sands and ancient legends. Guide the Prince on his quest to reverse the curse by using the Sands of Time, a power which allows you to erase the past, see into the future and slow down the present. He must tread these dangers carefully, however. Because in this world, there is only one rule: master the Sands, or be buried.

When I first saw the reviews for this game, I thought it look way overrated and entirely, for lack of a better word, boring. And I really must admit I ate my words when I got it.The gameplay is far easier than it looks. You use complex-looking moves to do things such as cross spike pits and reach switches. The most common move you use is, of course, your ability to run along walls. You will use this to get across spike pits, water pits, get from one ledge to another, get to a scalable pillar, reach a pole etc.You will also use pretty much the exact same move, except you run up a wall, to get to higher places. The only difference is that you can run ALONG a wall for quite some way, but you can run UP a wall for a very limited way. It’s still enough to reach the top if the wall is short enough (obviously), but you’ll mainly use this move to get across to an otherwise inaccessable area. For instance, if there’s a broken pillar hanging from the ceiling that you can’t simply jump on to, you can run up the wall next to it for the short distance and then kick off the wall to reach the pillar.Alright. Now that I’ve given a brief example of the more puzzle-solving aspects of the game, let me get on to the fighting. In the beginning of the game, you start off with a basic sword which you use to fight the normal people you encounter. Shortly into the game, you acquire the Dagger of Time. This dagger, when holding sand, allows you to pull off some pretty nifty moves, the most popular of wh.

I enjoyed this game, I also loved the original that came out way back when. At first I was a little frustrated with it but once I got used to the controls I loved it. Some of the voice acting was a little weak but nothing that should stop anyone from playing. I haven’t played Warrior Within yet but hopefully it will live up to this and the original, I’m sure it will though. There’s more to do here that run around killing enemies, you have to use your brain. There needs to be more games out there like this. This game is definately worth having.

Very interesting game… It’s not on the game where you have to solve puzzles and mystries but also good fight… Story and theme is good and keeps your mood… It gives the glimpses what’s coming next to you and how you have to tackle it… It has 2 sequals and that makes it very interesting… The graphics are rally good and clarity is also suparb… The background music is really good… You have to do lot of acrobatic movements to play this… This movemmnts gives you hints about what’s next..The only problem is that sometimes you can not control the camera… You wish that it would have looked good other way… But it’s ok, atleast not bad…Go for it guys and also play the next two sequals.. This game just rocks

Sands of Time has such a great variety that you always look for in a game. It has great gameplay, beautiful graphics/music and challenging puzzles. This isn’t for amatuer gamers because the puzzles can be quite challenging to where it takes a little while to figure some out. The graphics for the game are some of the best for the PS2. Overall, it’s as good as the hype says it is. The only downside is that the “boss” fights are easy, but you’ll never hear me say that is a bad thing

When I first saw the trailers for POPSOT I was like wow look at that! When I finally bought the game I found it even better than I thought it would be. I thought the love story was a bit soppy but the game is a lot of fun. As far as the moves go the fighting is typical do the same combos over and over again. I like the fact you upgrade to more powerful swords throughout the game. The acrobatic side of this game is the most unique part of it. You get to run along walls, run up walls and climb trees and columns. That to me was the most fun using the Prince’s acrobatic abilities. That and being able to rewind if you die and try the sequence over again. Overall this is a fun game with a few interesting puzzles and a typical storyline. Prince meets princess they don’t like each other then they fall in love while facing danger together yata yata.

Ubi-soft’s game, The Prince of Persia: The sands of time is an outragously awsome game! That said, I would like to present to you my review. At first I figued Prince of Persia was some generic Platformer with a Persian and Indian featured in the game, I was unaware it was an old franchise (My sister’s constant raving about it didn’t help my skeptism either). So after my younger sister and brother had played it I decided to give it a try. And to my pleasant surprise, the game was not bad at all. In the beginning you play the prince (whose name is never mentioned) who seeks honnor and glory for himself and his father, but to do this he has to be the first to get to the tresure vault that resides inside Indain castle that his father is attacking. When he does he comes across a supernatural weapon titled the ‘Dagger of time’, which can revive you if you die, and stop, slow, or speed up time with a press of a button. But when the prince is tricked by his father’s informant to place the dagger into a hourglass that holds the snads of time, he unleashes a deadly force upon the Persian kingom. So in an attempt to redeem himself, The “prince” embarks on a quest to retrive the sands of time and stop his father’s tercherous imformant. He is ironically acccompanied by a woman named Farah (a princess of the conqured Indian kingdom) whom helps with solve a castle full of puzzles, but does nothing to help in battles. Her motives for following him are clear but she keeps her intier motives hi.

It is a wonderfully visual game, with a knock-out setup and great (when you can hear it) dialogue. But all the reviewers who claim the game is low frustration and easy… wrong! I adore this game, but I have never sworn at or threatened a game so much as this one. I was stuck on one fight for a month. I wish I was kidding. The big fights rely on timing and damn good luck, because sometimes you can make it the first time, and sometimes your sidekick dies fast and you will repeat the same fight infinitely. Too bad you can’t skip ahead. Puzzles take time, but I only needed help with one. Seriously, the only flaw with this game is the fights.

I’ve played the entire Sands of Time trilogy, and this is still the most fun, because it’s Prince of Persia at its purest before they felt the need to complicate themselves. You navigate the game’s main character, the Prince, through an expansive palace, gaining sand powers and solving puzzles along the way. The story is easy to follow and the voice acting is entertaining. If you’re unfamiliar with the plot formula, you’re in for a nice twist. While you don’t have the free-form combo fighting style of the later entries, there is still enough of a learning curve to keep battles challenging, especially as the enemies become immune to your basic tricks and start trying to mob you. The puzzle format is mostly about correct timing and proper angling, although there are some Legend of Zelda-esque brain busters in there. The game has great replay value, particularly when you want to try a speed run. The graphics are a little dated, as they do not have the same detail as the later PS2 PoP games, but it shouldn’t be too much of a bother. You can also unlock the original Prince of Persia game and a 3-D remake of the first level. All in all, if you like puzzle games or are interested in treading the waters of the Prince of Persia series, this is an excellent choice and I’d recommend it to anyone; it certainly has stood the test of time.

Prince of Persia is just amazing. Prince of Persia is not a hack and slash game, it’s not a fighting game, it’s not even really a platform game. The best way to describe it is is as a adventure puzzle game, similar to Ico.Prince of Persia takes place in a huge palace, with many different levels. In fact, there are so many levels, progress is defined by percent, not level number. You control the Prince as he has to traverse the Palace. This palace is magnificent, and the atmosphere of the palace really shines. That alone is worth the price of the game. A lot of thought and artistic integrity was invested in this palace. The Prince has to go through this palace while fighting monsters, which are pretty easy, while jumping, crawling, swinging, or moving objects his way out. That’s the beauty of it. The movements to the next levels are the puzzle. It’s worth noting that these puzzles are not random, boring search and try puzzle like in Silent Hill or Kings Quest. It’s more of, “how can I get to that wall?”, or “how can push that button?”. The puzzle take thought, but there never random, off the wall puzzles (like spending hours trying to find a key or some other stuff like that).Movement itself is a complete joy. Except for wall to wall jumps, movements don’t require exact button pushing mechanics or precision timing. If you’re on an overhang, and you need to jump to the next ledge, you just press x, and he’ll jump and make it if you’re aligned correctly. You can ju.

I wasn’t sure this was a game I could learn to play. Screenshots and trailers intimidated me. I’m not a hard core gamer I can’t play more than one hour a day and some days I can’t even get close to de PS2, so I didn’t want to buy something I wasn’t going to be able to play, because it was going to take to much time to learn. But this game is amazingly easy to learn to play, because it has very responsive controls. I can only remember twice or thrice having camera problems. I beat the game and with the help of a guide on the web I unlocked prince of persia, which I’ll play in a while. The graphics are great, the story is very good and has a unexpected ending. This year the only better game I have played is Onimusha 3 but there are some things POP is better tha Onimusha, basically the acrobatic moves of the prince and the ability to turn back time when you die or make a wrong move like jumping instead of wall running. I enjoyed every minute of the ten hours of gameplay. Every single move you learn you need to master in order to complete the levels, especially the last three ones. This is a game anyone from novice to expert can play and enjoy.
