Amidst the scorched sands of ancient Persia, there is a legend spun in an ancient tongue. It speaks of a time borne by blood and ruled by deceit. It is within this war torn land that a young Prince discovers a magic dagger. Embark on a journey of scorched sands and ancient legends. Guide the Prince on his quest to reverse the curse by using the Sands of Time, a power which allows you to erase the past, see into the future and slow down the present. He must tread these dangers carefully, however. Because in this world, there is only one rule: master the Sands, or be buried.

In terms of a pure gameplay experience, this is among the best of the next-generation games. The first thing you will notice are the stunning graphics. The textures are clean, the faces and character models are crisp, and the animation is breathtaking. The second thing you will notice is the control – every single action (and there are quite a few of them) is incredibly easy to pull off. The forgiving and intuitive control is almost always favourable – the only issue I had with the control is that during the fight scenes, occasionally I wanted to do a lateral roll and ended up vaulting over the enemy’s head, only to be chopped down and losing a bit of energy. Otherwise, the awesome control enables you to attack seemingly daunting feats with incredible ease. There are three types of gameplay associated here: action-oriented fight scenes, which are fun but decidedly the weakest component of the game; puzzle-oriented scenes, including several involving adjusting mirrors in order to fix a light beam on a particular spot; and lastly, ‘acrobatic’ scenes involving getting the Prince from point A to point B. On the surface, these look to be the most difficult. If given Tomb Raider’s game engine and its comparatively stiff control, these puzzles would be completely impossible. But PoP’s game engine is so smooth and so accomodating that these intimidating tasks are really quite simple. These scenes are also forgiving in the sense that if you do happen to make a mistake, the dag.

This is by far the best game I’ve ever played. I’m a huge fan of puzzle games that require you to actually think, not just fight. However, the fighting scenes are fun with all the great combos. The graphics in this game are UNBELIEVABLE! They’re so realistic and just great to look at. I’ve played other games that require problem solving and fighting, but this one takes all! Another great thing about this game, is it’s storyline. I really enjoyed the interaction between the prince and Farrah. They start off exchanging little quips at each other, but end up growing a deep connection (if only the ending was different…;))Anyways, if you’re looking for a great game, get this one, you won’t regret it!

I love this game, along with the others in the series. I like that you have to solve puzzles and have to actually think of what to do. I like games like that. And the graphics are amazing. It gives off that soft dream like glow and makes you feel as if you are really in an ancient land of Persia. Following the Prince as he journeys through the Palace is fun, as the Palace is huge and you never visit another place twice. There’s always something new around every corner. And, you don’t travel alone. I like that the Prince teams up with Farah and they work together as a team. The ending is awesome and I love the storyline, which only goes deeper in the next game. The music is wonderful and I love hearing it while playing, especially the fight scenes. I recommend this game to fantasy lovers who enjoy a good, fun game.

Wow. This game is just utterly amazing! In this game, you play as the radical prince of Persia, struggling to master the Sands of Time that he has unleashed. He finds a dagger that can rewind, fast-forward, freeze, and slow down time. You have countless different acrobatic gravity-defying moves, like wall push, wall-run, enemy vault, balance, pole swing, pole cimb, and many more! Also, the story is great and gameplay requires nick-of-time button pushing and logic. *I wish that review thingie had more than 5 stars*

DON’T GET ME WRONG , I LOVE ACTION GAMES WITH A BIT OF STRATEGY.BUT WHEN THERE IS TOO MUCH , IT CAN BE A BIT ANNOYING. AS IS THE MAIN CASE WITH THIS GAME..THE FIGHTING IN THE GAME IS COOL, ESPECIALLY ALL THE COMBAT MOVES YOU CAN PULL OFF, LIKE RUNNING UP A WALL OR YOUR ENEMIES BACKS, TO LAND A DEVASTATING SWORD STRIKE. AS WELL AS THE PRINCE’S SPECIAL MOVES- LIKE WALL RUNNING , TUMBLE ROLLS , AND THE REWIND FEATURE WHEN YOU OBTAIN THE SPECIAL SWORD. WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THE GAME , BECAUSE YOU CAN REWIND TIME IN ORDER TO REPLAY FIGHT SEQUENCES , REDO TRAPS THAT WRECKED YOU , OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU CHOOSE.BUT YOU CAN ALSO SLOW DOWN TIME TO MOVE FASTER THAN YOUR ENEMIES , TO GIVE YOU THAT EXTRA FIGHTING EDGE.MOST OF THE LEVELS ARE NOT THAT BIG, BUT THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY PUZZLES AND THAT CAN BE ANNOYING AT TIMES. THE FIGHTING IS SO AWESOME AND LOTS OF FUN TOO , BUT REST ASSURED YOUR SKILLS WILL BE PUT TO THE TEST, FIGHTING BETWEEN 15 TO 30 GUYS AT ONE TIME… PLUS YOU HAVE TO MASTER HIS JUMPING SKILLS , BECAUSE YOU’LL DEFINATELY BE NEEDING IT-WHEN YOU HAVE TO JUMP BETWEEN WALLS IN ORDER TO REACH A LEDGE THAT IS WAY UP. ONE SLIP AND YOU’LL FALL TO YOUR DEATH FOR SURE ! BUT IT IS STILL A LOT OF FUN TO PLAY , AND I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.BUT REMEMBER TO BLOCK, AND FIGHT NEAR A WATER FOUNTAIN TO FILL UP YOUR HEALTH.BUT UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR SWORD AWAY , AND WILL BE OPEN TO ATTACK, SO YOU’D BEST BE QUICK ..AND ALSO GET THE SEQUEL TOO ,IT’S JUST AS GOOD …ENJOY…

Stunning animation, movie-like camera and effects, fun gameplay, and wonderfully designed interactive environments make this one of the best games of the year. The voiceover narration is fantastic and I particularly enjoyed the charming and humorous comments on the "game over/try again?" screens. The music is nicely done with some standout pieces throughout the game; a nice touch is that the combat music changes every few levels which keeps things from getting stagnant. This game definitely is a "platformer"; combat is fun but does get slightly repetitive, but this doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of the game. A winner!

I never played the original Prince of Persia. I didn’t have a computer back then. But even having not played the original that shouldn’t deter anyone who might be considering purchasing this game. Unfortunatley in late 2003, though released to critical acclaim, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time became a "sleeper" hit being outsold by other higher profile games released around the same time. Which is a shame because this is a game that stands on it’s own two feet.First thing that stands out is that the Prince in the game is recounting the tale from his perspective. Almost as if he’s sitting down with you telling you the story in great detail. This is pretty unusual and at the same time makes the game more engrossing. In the game, the Prince has unleashed the Sands of Time after siezing the Dagger of Time when his father’s army invades India. Now he has mistakenly unlocked a cataclysmic power that will destroy him if he can not stop it.The game’s stand out feature, aside from it’s gameplay, is it’s graphics. This is a very nice looking game. The environments are extremely detailed and alot of attention has been paid to the very fine details. The palace is at times huge. With rooms that big sometimes it’s a bit difficult to determine which way to go or how to properly reach your goal. But if you step back and think for a moment the solution will become clear. Throughout the palace you’ll notice alot of banners that flow when touched. An effect borrowed from another U.

An evil curse has spread upon Sultan’s kingdom. The prince of Persia is on a quest to hunt for villainous Vizier who deceived him into unleashing the Sands of Time. Survival may seem dim armed with only a sword and dagger, they are powerful weapons one would not wish to be without. Through progress in the palace, princess Farah becomes the single collaborator helpful to succeed his pursuit.Explore ancient medieval environments in corrupt land of Persia. As you play the courageous, fearless prince, journey inside the gloomy kingdom won’t be an easy task. Use your sword to undertake sand creatures and animal sand creatures. Slaughter them with style by incorporating the vaulting attack, wall rebound attack, and combo attack. The prince can also perform skillful maneuvers. He can run on the walls, push/pull objects, and swing on a bar whenever it’s determined necessary. Once you triumph any particular segment (usually encounter three sand creatures per segment) you may then venture further in the game. When health diminishes, drink from a water pool and fountain to refill your warrior’s life meter. The one significant thing worth criticizing is that sometimes the game seems impassable. Even the ability to rewind, fast forward, freeze, and slowdown time through the dagger’s magic powers, at some point you might threaten to discontinue when unable to advance any further. Confusion may set in of what must be achieved but never let that dampen your spirit. The reward for preserving w.
