I am not a “extreme gamer,” but I do play games on the weekendsThis game has been very fun. It has some thinking involved on how to progress through the scenes and takes some skill to master wall running and swinging around with the correct timing. It is not a hard game! But it is fun and entertaining, great for the casual gamer. We bought Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 for 3x’s the price and this game beats it by far! (Not in graphics) but in challenging your skills.. (Star Wars is pretty mindless and offers no challenge..)Would recommend as a simple, overall good, fun game to play on the weekends. I am not sure if the extreme gamers would enjoy something like this.

fun and fast gameplay with great graphics and sound,i recommend to all ages, as good as previous prince of persia games

Game’s too flawed for a 4 but it’s not mediocre enough to warrant a 3 so consider this a 3.5 star review. As a massive fan of the 2008 refresh of the Prince of Persia series, I often felt like as much of an apologist as an enthusiast, trying to convince people that the one from 2008 was an incredibly solid title with absolutely gorgeous graphics, a nice attempt at a different combat mechanic and a promising start to hopefully another successful trilogy. However the title was released in an incredibly busy fall/winter period and despite some positive press, the game didn’t exactly sell well, not to mention the criticisms that it was too easy. I will admit the platforming was very rudimentary and basic in that game but it was also slightly zen-like, almost effortless and you never felt frustrated by the puzzle-y platforming aspects and it was a game where you can just…”go” and not worry about repeating long sections or have your fifth attempt at another hard section. Which makes the appearance of “Forgotten Sands” a very curious one, not only because it makes you wonder if they’re even planning to continue the Elika story or if they stopped because of the low sales or if this is just a bonus release until a “Prince of Persia 2” or whatever it’s called. And then of course there’s the film version of “The Sands of Time” coming so close to the game’s release and it makes you wonder about what this game is trying to do: rejuvenate the old Prince after the low sales of the last one.

I have no previous experience with this particular franchise but I tend to enjoy action, strategy, simulations, and sports gamesThis is a pretty good mix of action and strategy. Difficulty level (have only tried it on easiest setting) seems to be just right.Good graphics, fairly easy controls. If you are not familiar with the prince of persia series, you go through a series of levels fighting bad guys along the way. You will have to swing, jump, wall run, etc. to move your way through the level. The forgotten sands lets you play with the powers of the elements (wind, fire, water, earth) which are cool; i.e. you can freeze water and run up it like a wall. You can reverse time to get another crack at it.Recommend.

fun gameplay, but the puzzles are at some points dull, but overall I like this game and it was worth buying.
