I’m in my 30’s and wanted a fun puzzle game to play and this was PERFECT. The puzzles are just hard enough to be challenging but also not frustrating. The storyline is a little bit tedious but it’s fairly easy to flip through them to get to the next puzzle. If you’re looking for a fun stress reliever, this is your game!

Wonderful conclusion to a fabulous puzzle series. I was very sad when it was over.

I’ve been following the Professor Layton series ever since Curious Village came out, and while I still like the original trilogy more than the prequel series overall, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is definitely a great conclusion to the prequel series.Pros:1. Graphics this time around improved greatly from the Miracle Mask. One major complaint for me about the graphics in Miracle Mask was that it was there was depth perception problems when not playing in 3d (I don’t usually play in it), but this time the lines are more defined and much improved. They look like the original 2-d graphics brought to life, which is very pleasing.2. Instead of being stuck in one place, you get to travel around the world, which makes breaks the monotony of visiting the same places over and over again that the other Layton games suffered from.3. As always, the music is astounding, and while there are some old pieces from previous games, the new ones are very beautiful and on par with the music from other games.4. The plot is very solid and connected to the previous 2 games in the prequel series, which is different from the original 3 games, but it is clear that the writers thought about connecting the plots together based on the little details in the game. There are major plot twists that were definitely shockers! I felt that the mystery in Miracle Mask was given away too early by how they structured the narrative and the flashbacks, but it’s definitely not the case here. There’s one or two.

Professor Layton is a fantastic series of game.Pick this or the previous titles, and you won’t regret it!This is the 3rd game in the trilogy, so I recommend playing the other 2 first. However, the game is designed so that you don’t have to play the previous games (although it is recommended). The basis of the game is to progress through the game by solving puzzles. There are some easy puzzles, but this is not a game that a elementary school kid should be playing. As a college graduate and a graduate student, I sometimes spend half an hour on some of the trickier puzzles. All the puzzles are fun, and they really synergize well with storyline. One of the strong suits of the game is that you can pick it up, and literally play for 10 minutes. It doesn’t require constant grinding. Unlike other games, this doesn’t require you to spend at least half an hour to progress. In this sense, it is a must have for people with busy schedules, but would like a little gaming in their lives.

Fantastic final title in Layton’s series.
