An excellent console that serves as a time capsule for me. It was my first real foray into gaming, and I fondly remember all of the great games I played on it. I had to get another, for old times sake. And it arrived on time, just as advertised. Words cannot describe how happy I was to see the "Sony Computer Entertainment" screen after many years! I popped in an old favorite of mine, Sly 2, and got to playing. Now I have it setup to my hdtv via an hdmi adapter that works very well, and the picture looks great. If you are looking for the greatest video game system of all time, look no further!

This slim is how the original playstation 2 should have been released. Simple pop open disk tray sure beats the original that would stick shut and not open up to get your games in and out.
this 9000 series is really very good. I do have one pet peave; it makes me define a parental password each and every time I put in a disk with parental settings. I would rather simply turn parental guidance off completely like I could with the 7000 series ps2; but it is solid and it is a ps2 so — thank you.
