Wow, you can pick up this classic for less than a candy bar these days. This Atari 2600 adaptation of the movie really stretched the system as you had quite a few boards/screens (oooh), different pieces of music, including the famous theme plus the flute of the snake charmer that protected you from the squiggly line, and it took longer than most games of its day to complete. It even required the operation of both joysticks–one to move Indy, who is defined by his box-hat, and the other to control his inventory of items like moneybags, a flute, a gun, the whip, etc. Because of this requirement, it was somewhat of a two-player adventure game. It’s probably also one of the first games that provoked serious swearing at the TV screen back in the day. Just after you completed all of the steps that follow the film (buy this, avoid that guy, avoid that squiggly line, whip this, etc, etc) you could buy it at any moment from the raving lunatic in the market, or the falling boxes that Belog dropped on your head, or maybe you’d miss the parachute landing you need to make, when you have the shovel, to find the mound of dirt that hides the ark. And then you’d have to start all over and do it again, very carefully, with a quick hand to change from the moneybag to the gun. Yeah, this was an involved 2600 game.Gotta give LucasArts credit for this one, it’s memorable.

Let me start by saying I never owned this game, but my best friend did. We played it for days at his house trying to figure out how the heck to win. Eventually, we figured out what we needed to do and beat the thing. We felt like rock stars. There were no guide books or internet to tell us what to do, we just had to figure it out. It was a dang hard game for two 10 year olds, easily the most challenging game of its day. I will always remember the moment we beat it! If you lived through this age and want to relive the glory, buy this game. If you didn’t then don’t bother, you will hate it.

I loved this game growing up, but could never figure out how to win.I thought I was supposed to parachute down to the entry by the tree, then use my shovel to dig up the dirt pile in that room – however every time I tried that I ended up falling and dying.Maybe I was no where near the end, as I have no idea since I never won or ever saw someone win.Hopefully some future posters can share with me what I was doing wrong. It still haunts me to this day that I was never able to win that game!

I loved this game when I was 10 and I can still enjoy it today. The graphics are pretty good and the gameplay is excellent. It’s not for everybody though. It is also recommended that you find a solution guide to help out with the information that is not in the instruction manual. The Well of Souls and Map Room is straight out of the movie. Once you figure out how to beat the game, the action is fun and can be enjoyed over and over again.

Increible, un cartucho de 40 años como nuevo, caja en perfecto estado con instructivo y funciona. Gran nostalgia.
