In Ratchet and Clank, an evil race of aliens has used up the resources of their home planet. Now these evil beings are crisscrossing the galaxy stealing the best parts of other planets for their own use. You guide a dynamic duo known as Ratchet and Clank against these interstellar thieves. Ratchet, a space mechanic, and his robot friend, Clank, move from planet to planet using space-age gadgets, spaceships and robots in a quest to rid the galaxy of the Blarg. As you progress from one alien planet to the next, you’ll find or purchase over 36 weapons and gadgets, including a wrench, bomb glove, grappling hook, cannon, machine gun, and rocket launcher.

I played this when it first came out and it was a lot of fun at that time. For some reason I was thinking I wanted to play it again but I didn’t have the game for whatever reason. I played it and it was as much fun as it was in the past. A bit of comedy, a lot of action, and a lot of weapons to choose from which makes it a lot of fun. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good game.

Platformers are one of my favorite types of games and Ratchet and Clank may be an oldie but it’s a goodie. You play as a lombax(fictional animal species)named Ratchet for most of the game with help from your partner in crime, the lil’ robot named Clank. Players travel from planet to planet trying to stop the evil Chairmen Drek from destroying other planets to build and make his own planet better. Gameplay is simplistic yet amazingly fun and addictive and will make you keep coming back for more. The different gadgets and weapons make the gameplay even more interesting and fun, I mean the Ratchet and Clank series is known for its weapons. You get weapons such as the Glove of Doom which shoots out little robots called “Doomies” that attack/kill the enemies for you or the Visibomb Gun which shoots missiles and you can control the path of the missile. The fun and interesting gameplay and weapons plus a great storyline all tie in together pretty good and will make you happy that you bought tis game.

This game is completely addictive! As I’ve ‘grown up’ with Playstation, I loved the Crash Bandicoot series. Now that PS2 has replaced it, this game is as fun if not just a bit more fun than it’s brother game, "Jak & Daxter" (which is also a very fun game). It’s a great game for kids, and a great game for the inner kid. It’ll provide anyone hours of entertainment and is so worth your fifty bucks you’ll spend. Rip the galaxy a new one and prove you have the bolts to play this outragously fun and funny game!

This series is one of my absolute favourites from my childhood. I was so excited to find it available to purchase, but was worried about the quality of an older second hand game. That fear was completely unfounded because it was in excellent condition and I’ve logged many hours in front of my TV on my old PS2 reliving my childhood!

This is the second greatest video game ever made, after Metroid. If you have a PS3 and a 360, It is still worth getting a ps2 simply to play this game (the sequels are also excellent) Had no idea I’d like it so much, since I’m 30 and mostly play M rated shooters.Something these reviews don’t point out as much as they should: this game is BEAUTIFUL. Not as “realistic” as next gen games, but it “looks better” than a lot of them (hope that makes sense….compare Devil May Cry with Modern warfare for example…..the latter being much more realistic but not as “pretty”). Anyone not giving this 5 stars is being WAY WAY WAY too harsh.

and that’s that the game isn’t eternal. This is truly the best game I have ever played, just difficult to feel like an achievement, with tiny games hidden throughout to enjoy.The re-play aspect isn’t great, I ended up playing a few times, as it gets harder once completed, but without enthusiasm. Once 100% completion is attained there isn’t much to look forward to. However, since the game was long enough the first time around I didn’t find this disappointing.

Great fun game for an older system. No reason to downgrade this game even though its old. Most of the franchise are a blast to play with a plethora of weapons and off the wall humor. If you havent played the franchise give it a try.
