The title of this review says it all. Good replayability, fantastic scenery, and of course…Geo Mod. What’s not to love? Altering your environment by blowing up a small (or large) piece of it never gets boring. My only complaint is the weak multiplayer mode…definitely no match for Perfect Dark. THQ could have made this an instant PS2 classic by incorporating more multiplayer options. Still, I’m glad I bought the game.

Just finished playing this one. Its a really great old-school style FPS. The game reminds me a lot of Half-Life or Doom; if you liked either of these games then I would definitely recommend this one. There tends to be a lot of pauses for game "loading", moving from one area to another, which sometimes can be annoying, but other than that, its a solid game. I believe its also one of the first games to introduce destructible environments; if not the first.

This ps2 Game is one of the best games i have played, it has a lot of action andit is very addicting.I liked how you can save wherever you are at and it keeps right where you left off, it has good graphics and good story also.

THQ has done it again, they changed the way wrestling games have been played and now with Red Faction they have made first person shooters vibrant again. With great scenery and the ability to change that scenery based on what you do to it makes this game very appealing, great story line and outstanding voice acting incorporated into game.

When I first turned on this game, it grabbed me right from the start. Going back to the old theme of the battle for freedom by some badly treated colonists on a future Mars. The theme is great and the gameplay is original. It does go along with the style of the Metal of Honor series with much improved diffrences. The vehicles you are allowed to control, as well as the ability to go just about were ever you like, not confined to one way like metal of honor. This game gets my highest rating for it’s great playability, and although the controls are a little difficult to master at first, it was a surprisingly good game for anyone who like first person shoot-em-up style games.

I took a chance when i got this game i read all the reviews and all f them said it was great. And yes you can blow up every wall. Some people said that you can’t but you can. If you want a really good futuristic first person shooter you have to get Red Faction.

This game is one of if not the best game out right now. You freaks that say the Geo mod is a gimmick crack me up. Finally when you shoot a rocket laucher at a wall or what ever, it takes a pretty good sized chunk out of it. If reality is a gimmick then please stay in your pretend little world. And sure you can’t blow EVERYTHING up, cause if you could then you might not be able to progress with your game. The action is intense. The Multiplayer w/bots is the best I’ve seen to date. There is no reason why you shouldn’t buy this game. Period. And one more thing. Don’t you freaks think you should maybe play the game before you give it a bad review. When I was reading the review above with the guy busting on Geo Mod hardcore and then adds (I haven’t played it yet), I thought it was a joke. I mean come on, Get a grip on yourself. Play the game, and if you like it, give it a positive review. If you don’t like it, give it a negative review. Just make sure you know what your talking about before you start chirping. I don’t think that is too unfair to ask, is it?If blowing your own foxhole in the ground to jump in and mow everyone down is a gimmick, then go back to your keyboard and mouse and click your way through Doom 10.

i bought this game, because i liked the sample of it that i had on a sampler, and it rocks! it is as much fun and addictive as nintendo’s bond series. and it isn’t a flop like some of those bond games on ps1. this game is one of the best games i have ever played! you can even destroy the place, like you should be able to! you can’t find the key to a door? just blast your way around it! and the graphics are unbelieveable. the realism of this game is great. it is a lot of fun to toss mines at people and blow them up, or start them on fire with the flame torch. you have to get this game!

Great Game…used to own this on PC…but that’s vanished and it’s just as good on PS2 as I remember…besides the sweet mouse control.
