I chose the game to replace the EA sports Active 2 software. The Kinect doesn’t track the heart rate of the user, but it does a better job of having an engaging workout, with good solid advice and motivation. The network and social functionality of the software is lots of fun, and a good variety of different exercises.Like many other kinect games, there is some issues with tracking. The exercises where you are sitting on the floor, or taking the pushup position might be below the range of sight of the Kinect. The game gives good leeway, and allows you to finish that set, even if the kinect didn’t see it.Overall, the game is a good way to work out at home, and supplement other activities. I love it.

I bought the XBox used and then this "game" because I have plantar fasciitis, and wanted something other than an exercise bike. I have worked out regularly for years, but definitely feel more comfortable with cardio. (I have run 9 marathons, but have not done one in a while. I ran 5 half marathons in 2012, and more run for general fitness than competitively. My half times ranged from around 1:47 to 1:54 or so).I did not purchase this expecting a game or fun, but for the experience of using a virtual trainer, and of learning exercises. Avoiding the embarrassment of being that person at the back of a workout class messing up lunges or squats is a bonus. Because I had not used XBox Kinect before, I probably had more issues lining up the Kinect to track me than more experienced gamers. My initial assessment resulted in real sandbagging of anything I do on the ground. So for three weeks, it has had me do planks on my knees, for example, and when I tried to do a normal plank, it would not "read" that my body was in the correct position. Positioning is across the board pretty important for getting repetitions, calories, and Nike fuel points counted. So some of my "improvement" has to do with learning how to get properly tracked, and not actual fitness gains. I am fine though with taking it a bit easy on some exercises because overall, it is a challenging workout and I feel motivated. I have repositioned my Kinect several times, and happily no long.

I love trainers, it’s about the only way I like to exercise. Well if you like guidance, than this is the product for you.

I enjoyed this immensely. Make no mistake, this is not a game. This provides a solid, thorough workout routine that almost had me tossing my cookies. The interface is fantastic and very intuitive. You’re guided through the entire setup and workout process with options for difficulty base on your current fitness level which, by the way, it also assesses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a solid workout routine on a busy schedule.

Obviously any workout game is going to take commitment.I have only one other workout-type kinect game to compare it to – Your shape (2012).There are aspects that I like in both. However, this one has an agenda-type feel to it. You have whatever goals you setup initially as far as the frequency for your weekly workouts. I chose 3x per week and the instructor reminds me "see you again on xxxxDay!".Unlike YS2012, which allows a lot more freedom, but that can have its drawback too.My only complaint, though it’s mostly with Kinect, is the lack of tracking. I get aggravated when doing floor exercises and I’m "lost" and the reps don’t count, but I don’t blame the game so much for this.

It is everything I have been looking for! It personalizes to you and gives you the option for what you want to do either muscle or fat burn and you can do on or as little as you want I use it every morning!

This is a fun and effective workout program which makes good use of Kinect motion-sensing technology. Be aware that it is not a "game" at all – just an animated personal trainer who walks you through a customized workout. However, there are several features that provide good psychological incentives to push yourself and workout often, which may help those who struggle to find motivation with a classic home workout dvd. I like a lot of the features:- I was pleased and surprised at the large variety of exercises. The workouts are different every time, which keeps things fun and targets all muscle groups. Most are classic exercises like squats, lunges, burpees, push-ups, jumping jacks, etc., but there are many different variations on these which are fun to learn and do.- the cardio workouts are quite intense. I workout a fair amount and these really get my heart rate up. Tough interval training seems to be very effective.- I like the fitness tests, and it’s neat how the difficulty level of the program is automatically adjusted so it’s tailored to your fitness level. This also allows the program to grow and change as you do – it’s something you won’t outgrow.- excellent motion tracking – you can see a cool looking, very realistic hologram of yourself as you do the workout, and the game is generally very good at counting reps and recognizing what you are doing. Gives fairly subtle and accurate feedback on form (such as keep chest up, knees higher, etc.).- you choose a sche.

VERY impressed with the quality of tracking and interactions it has with the user!
