First of all, let me specify that I am a gamer with only free time here and there for playing games. I work and take care of personal business before anything else . In return, that gives me limited time for gaming. Now, for my review. I snagged a copy of this game for pretty cheap. I had already played the campaign through renting from Gamefly. But, I wanted to play the online portion as well. The campaign is really short. I was able to blow through it in like 4-5 days when I rented it. Story is pretty generic and not very fulfilling. But, I have also played worse games. Unlocking trophies is terribly easy and Platinum is practically given away for this game. The online multi player is also extremely short and not very fulfilling. I have played for almost a month and I am already a level 33 and level 40 is the cap. By the time I hit level 40, I will have also unlocked all weapons and upgrades using experience points. One month to play online is pretty short for me. After I hit level 40, it will be a matter of playing for fun. Also, there are only 5-6 maps to play and 3 modes with encompass Team Deathmatch, Free For All and a Survival mode. If you are the humans, the goal is to not get killed. If you are the Chimera, the goal is to kill all the humans. Maps are very generic and were not thought out very well.Overall, I like the Resistance series. I enjoyed this game for the short amount of time it lasted. But, it has no long term impact. If you are loo.

As a Resistance game, it lacks. As a portable FPS? A promising start. The story isn’t as good as it’s console versions, yet the controls and some graphics here and there really left me impressed. Maybe with more months of polish it could of been better, nonetheless I do not regret my purchase and got my money’s worth by even earning my first Vita Platinum Trophy on it. The only negative at the time that I was playing (Launch week) was that multiplayer was filled with a lot of shotgun queens that it made it frustrating to win with any other weapon. In the end I still have to say I had a lot of fun with one of the first portable FPS done right all the way to the end. Boss battles, enemies, and everything you come to expect from a resistance game is here on the go (minus a deep story). Still, with this in mind… I recommend it to Vita owners and fans of the Resistance universe.

For this being a vita shooter and the first one on the vita its actually decent its a pretty quick game mostly cause its on a handheld so you dont wanna be sitting around forever but the graphics are nice and the framerate is decent doesnt chug at all so i suggest you pick this up and give it a shot

The overall story is about 6hrs of game play, and can be pretty challenging. The controls are very smooth and responsive. The story isn’t on the same level as the console versions (but I didn’t expect it to be, hardware and developing are new yet for the system) I think people are expecting too much out of this and being WAY over critical of the game. It was a lot of fun, switching upgrades and upgrading weapons was a great addition…especially when the appearance of the weapon changes with upgrades. The multi-player is a lot of fun, or will be when more people play and you can unlock weapons and upgrades.I’m sure as more people start playing and they start rolling out DLC for the game it will only get better, I can see the developer adding more modes, maps and weapons. It has a lot of potential to be a great multi-player shooter with the right attention from developers. The only advice I can give you is don’t let all the negative reviews sway you from buying this and don’t go into it thinking this will be a PS3 title epic game….like any new system it needs time to develop and for the publisher to push out DLC.Lastly, the graphics were amazing for a handheld title! Very detailed!
