M2 has done a great job on this release — every game feels like it is being played on original hardware, and the sounds are surprisingly great coming from a handheld. This collection is unique in that M2 figured out how to modernize these games enough to place 3D effects while keeping the original sprite charm that’s true to the classics. My only complaint is that it’s missing some key Sega games, but you can buy the rest on the eshop for 6 dollars each. This isn’t necessarily bad, because I ended up playing some games that I probably never would have discovered on my own otherwise (Power Drift).

Good.

This is one of the most well done classic game compilations I have ever seen. Each game was totally recoded to take advantage of the 3D functionality as well as adding the (optional) use of the 3DS accelerometer for certain games. Some of the games also give you 60 fps which would be impossible to get from any current emulator as the games were originally designed for 30 fps. Aside from all the hardware benefits there are multiple game modes and challenges for each of the games along with an original arcade mode. I hope Sega is successful enough with this to release another collection. We need some Outrun in our lives!

The 3d is amazing on this collection, as is all the work M2 & Sega have done on the 3d classics line (on the Nintendo shop). On a "new" 3ds XL, the games look wonderful, especially for any old school Sega fans. There is also a hidden 10th game too, which is easy to find out how to access online. Sega should have included another main Sonic title, and Gunstar Heroes, to help draw in fans that may have been on the fence about getting this specific collection. The work done on these games for audio, control, and silky smooth framerates is high quality and stupendous. The extra options and features they ha e implemented help add more joy to the collection. If you happen to get a first run of the cartridge, it comes with a monochrome sticker sheet, that shows a little love to Sega fans. Could they have chosen better art, and had the stickers in Sega blue, or color? Yes. Sega needs to do an arcade only set of 3d classics for amazing games they have not given the 3d treatment to yet.

Man Playing these games in 3D is awesome, you can even use the 2nd analogue stick add-on for some of the games.Star taken off for having the same games featured in almost every Sega classic Bundle.. Would have loved to see gems like Pulseman, Bomberman or Crusader of Centy on this.
