One of the best and fun games I ever played. I played on xbox over 4 years ago. I am writing this to bring back a sequel for x 360. PLEASE…………………………..
Severe Tire Damage2 –
Other reviewers have noted that this game is fast-paced with a lot of over-the-top action, so I won’t reiterate what’s already been documented. What this game has is irreverence and fun in literal truckloads. Yes, it’s a button-mashing fire-fest. But the game has heart and I really enjoyed the character of “Serious Sam.” His one-liners are simply hilarious and I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to share an adventure with this muscle-bound wisecracker.I’m hoping (fervently) for a “Serious Sam 3” for the 360; and you know what? I don’t think even Uwe Boll could mess up a “Serious Sam” movie! He’d be a great character!

If you’ve ever asked anyone, what is the best fps on the original xbox? Chances are, they will say "halo: combat evolved". But honestly I would have to say serious Sam 2 takes that award by a long shot, let me explain. First of, the shooting is hands down, the best I’ve seen in any fps. It’s just beautiful almost as if your skillfully playing a violin, it’s just that good. The enemy’s either explode in a puff of blood and bones, or just, well explode it’s pure fun. Second, the graphics are great! There are jungles, futuristic sky city’s, Hong Kong (it’s named pong Kong in game),fairy tale kingdoms, etc. It’s really just beautiful, compared to the "modern" Brown, and grey ruined city’s. Third, the levels are very non linear and encourage exploration to find secret weapons, health, armor, and ammo. It really reminds me of level layout like quake, and doom meets halo. And of course this is a serious Sam game so we have a one-liner action hero everyone has known and loved, although he’s not nearly as funny this time around unfortunately. But it’s a small complaint. One important thing to note this game is really really hard, it uses a life system which is actually implemented really well honestly, and I’m surprised more games don’t use this. The boss fights are also really interesting and probably the most balanced and fun bosses I’ve seen in a long time. All in all I would recommend this game to game to just about anyone, since its easy to pick up and play. 9.5.

I discovered the xbox in mid-2005 and bought about 30 games to feed my instant addiction, many of them “first person shooters.” This is absolutely the most fun of them all. The graphics and story aren’t quite Halo 2, but this is my number-one, boot it up, destroy-everything-for-5-minutes-and-go-to-work-satisfied game.
Dr. Horrible F. Wingnut –
Sam has weapons. Lots of them. And, they keep getting bigger and more powerful as you level up. Lots of stuff to shoot and blow up before it gets you.

Granddaughter loved it. Just what she wanted.

Kids love the game.

There’s not much that can really be said in reviewing a game like this. If you’ve played the previous Serious Sam games, you know what to expect and you won’t really be dissapointed. If you’ve not played them, however, just try to imagine a game like Smash TV or Total Carnage in third person. You travel through gorgeous environments and battle wave after wave after wave of enemies that keep rushing at you, eager to blow themselves up or tackle you.One thing, though, and the title of this review should have tipped you off, but you’re better off going with the PC version. The Xbox graphics are fine, but they could be so much better. The most troubling and inexplicable difference between the two versions, however, is that the final boss of the game is totally absent in the Xbox version. This seems like a terribly bizarre decision and there’s no real reason for it. If that’s important to you, go with the PC version. Serious Sam is, after all, notable for its boss battles. To remove one (and the final one, at that) is simply baffling and ultimately dissapointing.
