The Sims 2
The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game develop in Redwood City, California studio of Maxis and publish by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the first game in the franchise, The Sims. So, the game allows the player to create their own Sim, neighborhoods, houses, and families. Also players manage their Sims so they can experience rewards and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.
Open-Ended Game
However, the Sims 2, like its predecessor, does not have a define final goal as the gameplay is open-end. Sims have life goals, wants and fears, the fulfillment of which can produce either good or bad outcomes. All Sims age, and can live up to 90 sim days or more. And the Sims 2 builds on its predecessor by allowing Sims to age through six stages of life and incorporating a 3D graphics engine that allows the player to get 360º views of the game as oppose to the fix 2D isometric view of The Sims. Also Genetics are a new game mechanic, as previously children in The Sims did not always look like their parents. Although gameplay is not linear, storylines and script events exist in the game’s pre-built neighborhoods.
The Sims 2 was release on September 14, 2004, for Microsoft Windows. A port to macOS was release on June 17, 2005. Eight expansion packs and nine “stuff packs” were subsequently release. In addition, several console versions have been release. The Sims 2 is offer on mobile platforms, with manufacturers such as Nokia offering The Sims 2 from the Ovi Store. A sequel, The Sims 3, was release in June 2009.

This game is pretty cool, with all the new graphics and fashion customizations, the ability to change colors and cut it to a smaller size, and you probably will notice, the amazing graphics, well probably not that amazing, but pretty much amazing compared to the previous sim games. And you really can get closer up! It was so weird really being able to get close up to your sim’s face. And the ability to give the sim earrings, belts, tatoos, and necklaces really is very attractive. But if you want it to be straight out the same as the sims 2.. You shouldn’t get this game. This game is an entirely different game because of it’s no ability of having babies, a second floor, and a 3-d overview of the neighborhood. And also there is no neighborhood. You can’t even call 4 lots a neighborhood! And this pathetic story mode was not even a story mode! I can’t even find the story in this mode! First you have to take a shower, clean up, and jump on the trampoline and then your so-called roomates will return home. No story in that at all. And then you will automically want to talk to someone then become a friend of that person. What happened to mom? What happened to that attractive moving out selection? Is this really better than the bustin out one? And what happened to the cars? That was a cool thing to have! And what happened to community lots? And what happened to the pizza delivery guy? And what happened to children? You can customizate an adult and an elder, but not a child! And the elders are uggggggggggggglay! And everyone in the story mode will probably make you lose your love for this game. And you also probably will like that you can WooHoo in any double bed, not just the love bed. And also I am hoping that the next one will have a 3-d overview of the neighborhood, and the ability to have a 2nd floor, and CHILDREN!!!!!!!!! And aging!!!!!!!!!! Those will always be what everyone wants! So this is a very oooooooookay game. Don’t get this if you think you could get diappointed.

I purchased this game with some of my spare money and it wasn’t worth the money at all. It’s fun at first but it gets boring extremely quickly. The gamecube version is not as great as the PC version, which isn’t fair.If you play in story mode,it is very hard to win and I eventually just give up.I don’t recommend this game unless you enjoy these kind of things. It’s not worth the money in my opinion.
