The Sims 2 has me on the computer for hours just like the orginal Sims did. There are many cool things in this Sims 2 edition. First is the fact it is in 3d now. It is very realistic and you can zoom in very close, even to see all five fingers on their hands. Another thing is the new aspirations feature. The main purpose to this is giving your sims something to do with their life. A sim could want popularity, while another sims could want to make money. If you can complete their wants then this will help them do better in life and in their careers. If you hit platinum color on the meter, this will put your sims in the fullest happiest mood. This makes it easy to get the job promotion. However, if the aspiration meter gets in the red, they will start to get depressed and have a visit by a therapist or a bunny. Another cool thing is while your sim is at work, there is a situation pop up box which gives a story along with three decisions that your sims has to make. If your sims makes the right decision, he could add various points like body points, charisma points to themselves. They could also be promoted, so you don’t necessarily need 9 friends to make it to the top of the business career. However, making the wrong decision could end up in your sims losing points or being demoted or fired. You can also ignore it as well. There are so many new things that all make this game much better than the orginal Sims.A negative thing about this game has to be the AI. The sims in the game.

Love this game but incompatible with new computers / windows 10. Major graphic issues. Playable if that does not bother you.

This game is just an enhanced version of the Sims. There is more selection for items, characters, and places to live. There are also new or better events, and the addition of aspiration points, life goals, and fears. But, overall, this game has the same gameplay and goals as in the Sims. I got bored of Sims 2 within days. So, if you have never played a Sims game or only played a little and liked it, or if you’re a die-hard Sims fan, this is a good game to buy. But if you’ve played the Sims before and got bored of playing it, and you’re looking forward to something new in simulation, don’t get this, especially at a price of $49.99. You will probably get bored with this pretty quickly, too. In mine, there was also a minor glitch where my toilet froze up and it couldn’t be used, cleaned, moved, or sold. It was just taking up space.About the game:In the game, you pick a family of one or more characters, and you can choose how they look (Including clothes, age range, makeup, hair, and other aspects) and what their personality is like. Then you choose a plot of land and either choose a pre-made house or build one yourself, by choosing wallpaper, flooring, windows, build a porch, etc. Then you choose items, such as furniture and sources of entertainment. Or you can choose a family with house, furniture, and characters all made for you. Either way, each member has goals and fears. Some characters may be looking for romance, and want to make out with or marry another character. Then t.

Now I know you’re all thinking I’m crazy, but I think I still prefer my old Sims and accompanying expansion packs and hundreds of downloads. First of all, I’m sure you know that the graphics are astonishingly gorgeous. The zoom level is incredible. You can get RIGHT in character’s faces. You can see what’s cooking in the oven and actually tell if it’s burning, you can see inside the fridge, actually watch the sim’s tv, computers, and video games, and you can *clearly* see when a toilet needs cleaning (nasty!). The character creation is DRASTICALLY improved as well. Oh my lord. You can change literally EVERY aspect of a sim’s facial appearance. While I find Maxis’ definition of obsese a bit offensive, you can change the sims’ eye and hair color, hair style, skin shade, chin size and shape, ear size, facial shape, eye shape and size, makeup, and even the eyebrows. I spent hours just tooling around with the character creation when I first started playing. You can also specify related family members and spouses, so the teenage son won’t be kissing his mom anymore. They all know who they are now, and that’s certainly a welcome addition. Another thing that I thought was very cool was the potential for relationships with non player characters. So now your sim can have a romance with the paper boy/girl. Unfortunately, the game takes away a LOT of freedom and creativity. In the first sims you could have a family of all children or all teenagers. You could build a frat ho.

This game is super fun! Building and designing is the best part for me. And when you get bored. Just start a new game! Getting the expansion packs are a must for even more options and game play. Overall this was a great game.

I have yet to be disappointed with the Sims! I love the games, whether it be PC or gameboy advance! I could not resist adding this game to my collection, and it was so much fun to play :)
Mimsy –
This game is tons of fun! While other people say it’s a bit buggy (but not as bad as Sims 3) I haven’t found that at all. Then again, I’ve avoided the dart board (because someone said it was buggy) even though my sims wanted it. I can make the sims look like WHOEVER I want, I can control them or let them loose and see what they do, and I can interact with all these interesting NPC (and with all the cheats I use in some of my neighborhoods, the NPCs are the only ones I can’t control and they’re my only challenge). I only wish the base game had the hammer tool for construction, because I want to combine some of the smaller rooms in my house.

Excellent as promised.

Really you have to be mature to play this. You wont be wasting any time at all.You can learn life lessons and fill your "fun meter",as they say in the sims, all the way up!I recommend you buy this product for MANY good reasons.
