SNES is one of the most innvoative consoles of its time. Gone were the days of pixilated sprites and linear backrounds. Heck, this system even pushed some polygons by the end of its life (Starfox and Stunt Race). Get this system…

I dont like this one as much as the nes but i still like allot of the games on it and i still play it now. Yes i know that the nes has 8-bit and this has 16-bit and the sound is much better but most of the games for the snes r kind of weird. I have a whole bunch of games but i do not like have of them and the reason i have them is because this was my uncles. The only games that i like for it is mario, zelda, metroid, battle toads, and kirby. And i love each and every one of them. Other than the weird games this is an excellent system.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System is a wonder to behold. It revolutionized the way games’ controls and gameplay worked. Of all the systems I own (which is a lot) I play my SNES the most. The thing is, the SNES was made before games needed to be “cool.” Games back then were just fun. No one cared about complicated grapics chips, processing power or Max on-screen polygons capabilities. People cared about finding to “Top Secret Area” in Super Mario World, or getting all the DK Coins in Donkey Cong Country, or playing the great RPG’s of the SNES (Chrono Trigger, FFIII, SMRPG, Arcana). I’m 19 years old, and I grew up playing the system. I might have a bias for it since I’m an “old school” gamer, but the system is definitely worth owning, especially for under $30. So go out and buy one! (and play Chrono Trigger!)

I have many fond memories of the SNES. I still have the one that I got back in 1994 and I’ll never get rid of it. When I was a kid, my parents initially used to be so against video games since they thought they promoted laziness and addiction (I had to save my allowance money just to get my own original NES and games since they refused to buy it for me themselves), but they finally broke down and got me the SNES for my 13th birthday in September of 1994 and I feel that it really brought my parents and I together since we would frequently have “family game night” in our basement family room playing games like Super Mario World, the Donkey Kong Country series, Mario All-Stars, Paperboy 2, and many other games. My best childhood friend and I also spent many hours playing SNES during snow days home from school during the winter. My mother always loved the Disney games like the Lion King game and Aladdin and at the same time she loved sports games like NBA Jam and Ken Griffey Jr. Winning Run. This is a very nostalgic system for me. Video game systems have come a LONG way since the SNES days and my husband and I currently own the Wii, Xbox 360, and the new Wii U, but the SNES will always be my top system and nothing will ever change that!

The system came and worked properly as the description said. However I did have to go out and buy another controller because the one that was sent did not work. I did not contact shop as I figured it was more of a hassle to try and send back and all. Other than that it was in working order!

It’s Alive! I got a console with an "eh" game (Wing Commander, to be exact), but other than that I was pretty satisfied with the box I received. They did a pretty good job cleaning all the yellowing off of the top, as well as cleaning the pins where the flash cart goes. The controller shows little to no signs of use as well. Upon pulling out the good old box full of not so "eh" games from the attic, I was sucking at Star World in Super Mario World like it was 92′ again!

It’s a Super Nintendo… come on… if you have to look at reviews to decide whether or not you want this console, then you weren’t alive in the nineties.
