A classic show modernized itself by becoming more classic? Yes it does and does it with grace and style. If you are a fan of dry humor and understand that not everything has to have an overarching reason then sit in the el Camino and enjoy the ride while flamethrowers boost you sky high as you can blast the killer space beams with lasers. Final word: Truxton

This is CGR as it’s always been meant to be. Love the format and everything else about it. Really hope the show takes off on retrolio so we can keep getting more. Love the longer format and the honest feedback.moxed with goofiness. Can’t get this anywhere else.

I’ve been a fan of Mark’s content on YouTube for many years, and it’s great to see him finally make the switch to Prime and do the long form show that you can tell he’s always wanted to do.For those of you new to Classic Game Room, know you’re getting a varied, somewhat unusual, and always-entertaining show that covers gaming from all eras, but with a definite emphasis on retro. Mark’s work has always been appealing to me because he’s generally a very positive guy who genuinely loves gaming, and the passion comes through the work. Nothing has changed here. It’s still the same good old stuff that he’s always put out.Great to see 2085 finally launch, and best of luck to Mark with this new endeavor!

CGR is the only thing I watch on retrolio Prime. Is it because CGR is that or good or because I’m that lazy? Both. For anyone who doesn’t know what CGR is, it’s the internet’s longest running video game review show hosted by Mark Bussler(technically several Mark Busslers – clones are involved, it’s complicated) who’s the kind of guy who can make watching paint dry entertaining, which is ultimately the draw of the show. His comedy stylings are sort of like a smarter Homer Simpson mixed with MST3K. That’s a fairly poor description but it’s the only one I can think of.For those who do know what CGR is and are worried the move to retrolio hurt it: it didn’t. This is the exact same CGR you knew on Youtube. The reviewin’ is just as good, the only difference is that now you get several reviews packed into individual 30-40 minute episodes. The extended format also gives the Mark clones a lot more time to play around with, so things like viewer questions, behind the scenes footage, and Edit-Station-1 have become regular features. It’s ballzified. My single complaint is that new episodes are released pretty randomly, although you can generally count on two or so episodes being released per month. This is probably due to real life obligations getting in Mark’s way and you just can’t hold that against him. CGR 2085 comes out when CGR 2085 comes out and that’s fine by me. It’s as good as ever. That’s the part that matters.

I have been a fan of Classic Game Room on YouTube for several years. Creator, writer and host Mark Bussler’s hilariously deadpan delivery, witty reviews and irreverent humor made it stand out in an increasingly growing number of video game review shows. However YouTube has made it increasingly difficult for creators of original content to be able to maintain a sustainable living with such recent detrimental changes to ad revenue etc. When Mark announced he was leaving YouTube for the greener pastures of retrolio Prime while expanding to 30 to 45 minute long episodes rather than the traditional 6 to 9 minute CGR episodes, I wondered if it would work.I can safely say that Classic Game Room 2085 represents a substantial improvement and evolution of the original CGR format. Most episodes start out with a review of a game but then goes into a full hardware review followed by a Q&A portion ending with outtakes and flubs. It is everything that I loved about CGR taken to the next level. I like how each segment flows naturally and organically into the next. Mark seems even more relaxed, funny and loose than he did during the YouTube years. There are also lots of witty asides and non-sequitars scattered throughout to keep things lively too.Highly recommended and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

I absolutely love the variety, production value, and sense of humor thet comes with CGR 2085. This is definitely the best review show this side of the galaxy. I was born in ‘83 and got my first video game console in 1988 in the form of the NES action set. I’ve been playing video games since and love learning about games I would have never even thought to play. I’m actually learning about some of the good Atari games out there now that aren’t on a preloaded plug and play. There’s games here for everybody to enjoy, from Atari to Xbox to the Wii U. As a matter of fact, I just received my Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition in the mail today because of watching Season 1 episode 12. Beware the size of your wallet after watching this righteous demonstration of your favorite games and other games you didn’t know existed. Can’t wait for even more awesome content. Thanks Mark

I’ve enjoyed Classic Game Room since I first saw Mark on Youtube. It is wonderful to see him enjoying himself without YT holding him back. Keep on rocking Mark!

Hilarious writing, top notch production values, detailed reviews- there is a good reason this is not available on YouTube. Highly recommend to anybody of any age who enjoys video games.

This show is a blast to watch! If you like old video games and fun, then CGR 2085 was made for you! If you’re not a fan of having fun, this show might not be for you. (Or maybe it will be, who knows?) The set, lighting, and cameras look excellent and production value is top-notch. If you’re on the fence about spending 45 minutes with CGR 2085, give it a shot, and you’ll be hooked.

Even better than the 2018 version on YouTube. Love the Mark, Love the Atari, Love Sega….All hail CGR.
