Spider Man 2

Spider Man 2 is a 2004 video game based on the movie of the same name. Published by Activision, the console versions were developed by Treyarch, while the others had different developers and are drastically different as a result. However, the game is the sequel to Spider-Man itself based on the movie of the same name. The Treyarch-developed versions are considered a landmark title in the industry for being the first superhero video game to incorporate a full open world design.

All versions of the game closely follow the film’s plot, but expand upon it by including scenes and characters not appear in the movie. Set two years after the events of Spider Man 2, the game finds Peter Parker struggling to manage both his personal life and his duties as Spider-Man. When scientist and Peter’s mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius, becomes the diabolical villain Doctor Octopus after an accident, Spider-Man must stop him from recreating a dangerous fusion power experiment.

The game was release on June 28, 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and GameCube, follow by N-Gage and Nintendo DS versions, both release later in the same year.

Ha, the good times. This was a pretty successful spiderman game back in the day and I can see why. It pretty much introduced every mechanism for a free-roam spiderman game and has a huge city to explore, do missions(even if they were repetitive), help out citizens in need and play the main story. Overall, a classic game for fans of the wall-crawler.

… at how much I like this game.I’ll be honest here.. after this game, I think they’ve made only like… 1 spidey game that felt halfway decent. This game was the right direction to take it in, but then everything went downhill. It felt like disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. I had decided to buy this again so that I could enjoy a good spider-man game. If it weren’t so dirt cheap, I’d probably regret ever selling it.

Had this game years ago, buying it really brought back memories, whether it’s swinging really high above the city, using combat to juggle the bad guys, or listening to Bruce Campbell’s commentary, you’ll love this game. I would have given this game 5 out of 5 if it weren’t for the sudden pop missions of saving children’s ballons!

I was really eager to get my controls on this one.. and There are several improvements over the first one…like the ability to walk on the streets HA !! It is a little repetitive with the missions.. but I do enjoy playin it..Let me say I am yet to get to the %100 but I have beaten the Doc, not that easy…but on my way to more goodies i hope.So far I am a somewhat disappointed, it has so much potential and hopefully I can return to report that my satisfaction has improved… I was blown away by the first one and this one is filled with promise…over all enjoyable with hopefully lots more extras that I simply have not found yet…I will be fair and let you all know If I am more pleased @ 100% and beyond.P.

I would still buy it if the only thing you could do was swing through the city! I have heard people say, "Oh well, the whole, helping the people thing, gets boring after a while" My rebuttal to that is this: I have found that there are always variations, for instance, I thought the well for people mission variations was about done when suddenly, while fighting off the thugs from an armored car, instead of the being picked up by a getaway car, the remaining thugs are picked up by a helicopter. That’s just cool folks. The controls are remarkably easy to master, I have no major issues with them. The city detail could be higher, but it’s such a minor flaw since, as people have said, you go by so fast while swining, that it doesn’t matter. The moves that spidey can do are also awesome, hanging people from street lights and punching them up into the air are all great fun. And, by buying new combos and moves in the spidey store, your arsenal is quite impressive. Also, once you "beat" the game, ie, all of the main missions, there are still other things you can do. There are tokens to collect, they range from being on top of skyscrapers, in hidden spots, in hideouts and on buoys.Another thing that I really like is the fact that you know what time it is at any given point. The map screen (found by pressin select) tells you what time it is in game. And, the night and day transition is incredible, night just sneaks up on you, as does day, but, if you look for.

Another PlayStation2 classic,Spider-Man 2 is one of the greatest games ever.It makes more sense than Spider-Man and is less annoying to web-swing than Spider-Man 3.PROS:- Arrived in about 3-4 days, reliable shop.- Unlike the first Spider-Man game, this one actually shows you what you’re swinging from.- Follows the Spidey2 story well while adding twists to make the game more interesting.- Amazing attention to detail in regards to Manhattan, Roosevelt, Liberty and Ellis Islands.- Lots of challenges, hint markers, bonus missions and crimes to prevent boredom after beating the main story.CONS:- Glitchy sometimes when you web-swing too fast.Overall, this is a really fun game and, in my opinion, the best of the 3 Spidey games. The bonus missions (meeting Mary Jane, delivering pizzas, Daily Bugle photoshoots, etc.)are actually pretty fun so don’t overlook them.”If you collect all Hint Markers, they all reset but then they say something different”.FINAL RATING: 5/5
