When the first Splinter Cell game came out, I immediately bought it for it’s blend of cool visuals, shadowy game play and cool spy moves. I didn’t like it. I’m not a fan of trial and error gameplay and the game was completely filled with it. And, while realistic I’m sure, setting off alarms was too easy and unforgiving.Splinter Cell 2 did a better job of smoothing out the problems of the first while including a cool online portion but it still had trial and error gameplay that I couldn’t get into. Finally, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is out and it is grand. When I first started to play the single player game, I was amazed at how much more forgiving the system was. Not to say it was dumbed down or easier, I still got my ass handed to me, but it was more fair. And if I made a mistake it didn’t necessarily spell total disaster. Overall, it’s still a lot of the same from before, except that in this case you are given much more freedom in how you want to go about your missions and you can, in fact, use those high-powered weapons you were given without worry. Then there’s the multi-player portion which is amazing. The co-op mode is fully fleshed out, allowing two people to play either split screen, system link or through Live. New moves are given for team attacks and for various ways of solving situations. Gameplay is fun and exciting, it’s a natural extension of the single-player experience and makes me wonder why it took for the third game for them to include it. My only c.

Sam is back and kicks more butt plus more options to choose from weapon upgrades to let your enemy live or die, The rag doll physics let the body of your killed enemy interact with your enviornment say your next to a railing face it and kill the enemy and his body flips right over the railing thats cool. Then theres the co-op just like single player your on a seperate mission than Sam and you work with your partner to reach certain areas like boosting your friend to a ledge and climb on him like a ladder or just toss him at enemys to knock him out its really fun and i recommend this to every one who likes stealth action games.

I’m not a big fan for 1-player games because my brother and I always have friends over. I had played a demo for the orginal Splinter Cell on Gamecube and I loved it. I was in the process of deciding on getting Pandora Tomorrow until I read an article in a magazine that Chaos Theory was going to have a co-op mode(I’m a big fan of co-op). I knew that was the thing for me and decided to skip getting Pandora Tomorrow. So I rented the game and played it with my brother. The first mission is a training mode which only shows a few of the literally dozens of moves a splinter cell can pull off. The next missions are fun and very intriging. They make you think like a spy. Which route should I take? Where are the enemies located? What is the best and most quiet way to take them out? You have to think about all these before advancing through the level. This game makes you think. Not only that but the graphics are top-notch too. YOu can see the texture of Sma Fishers clothes which is a scary though because this is an Xbox game.A key aspect of the game is sound. Especially online when your using a mic to communicate with your partner. If your too loud then the enemies will detect which makes this game even more realistic.Reading this should make you want to buy this game or at least try it out. Still not convinced? It’s only $20!!!

Cool game. I bought it for my son and he really likes it. He goes through levels fast unlike me. It was worth the dollars!

Such a good game, played this all the time on my old Xbox, but I got rid of that about 6 years ago. I miss the old xbox but this game is still a must have for me.

Here is a large preview of an amazing game. Getting better everyday, Chaos Theory is shaping up to be the best game of the series yet, and that’s saying something (considering the other 2 were jaw dropping). Here’s a preview of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, for the Microsoft XBOX…1)Tidbits~*The release of this game has been pushed back to March. But the more time they spend on it, the better it will be…*2 types of multiplayer have been announced. The first is co-op, where 2 people control 2 spies, going through several missions BUILT exclusively for co-op. There is also the option to do co-op with a friend over XBOX Live…The other type of multiplayer (and the best hopefully) will be the returning Mercenary vs Spy over XBOX Live. It will, again, be just 2v2. But the ranking system will be revamped, all kinds of new maps will be added. New gadgets, new game modes, etc… All of you who LOVED Pandora Tommorow’s multiplayer will be delighted to hear this. Coming in March, this game is going on LIVE…*There are 2 divisions of Ubisoft. The Montreal Ubisoft is developing this one, which is good news in my opinion. There is a Shainghai division of Ubisoft, which made Pandora Tomorrow’s single player. But the Montreal Team created the multiplayer for Pandora Tommorow (I believe), and also made the single player for the original game (the best single player in my opinion). The Montreal team is making this ENTIRE game, and I think that is better.*Sam will have many mo.

This game is glorious. I’d place it right under Halo, Halo2, Half-Life2 and right above Doom3 in the top 5 best xbox games of all time. There are a few hooks that simply make this game fun.- Graphics are beautiful. Really gorgeous.- Soundtrack/score is top notch (Amon Tobin). Listen to the track during the boat mission in which you toss people overboard. It’s more beautiful than most Hollywood scores. There is some additional music from fake rock bands scattered throughout the game on radios for a nice touch. Even the added touch of foreign computers having their own particular cultural sounds when you turn them on/off. When a game designer goes to these lengths, you really have something worth while.- Cool new moves. Ability to knock people over and pull them down from ledges is cool. Grab them through Japanese paper doors. Knock them out from behind doors. All a lot of fun. Game also reminds you how to do them while loading. Good touch.- Items/gadgets still cool, hacking is especially cool- They lightened up on the alarms concept- As with other Splinter Cell games, the scope is global and these spy agencies are real. I like the multi-cultural immersion.- Co-op with modified levels- Long game- Glitch free. No consulting the internet to figure out what went wrong.- The story doesn’t blame everything on Arabs or Islamic fundamentalism. The bad guys are a combo of home grown and global. At one point, you are technically “at war”.- Solid upgrade overall over other splinter cell.

The best in the series. Co-op is just as great. This game will always receive a 5 star rating.
