A few quick facts:-There are no rewind or fast forward features. You probably wouldn’t want them in an action RPG, anyway.-There’s a quick save feature where you can save your game at any time, even during combat.-Each game can be played in two ratios, and the 16-bit games have an anti-aliasing filter.-Each game has a scenic picture frame that you unfortunately can’t turn off.You might hear some critics say that emulation is better, but if you want to own the first three entries in the legendary Mana series as they were when they first came out (with one exception), this bundle is for you!-Final Fantasy Adventure: Named so because of marketing. I haven’t played through this one, but from what little I did play, it seemed like a tricky “NES hard” kind of game. It plays just like an adventure title for everyone’s favorite Game Boy, though less technically advanced than Zelda: Link’s Awakening.-Secret of Mana: It’s easy to admire its catchy music and bright graphics, but its battle system is an acquired taste, not for the impatient. I have good memories of this game, but I also have horrid flashbacks of the grindfests I used to do, performing spells over and over again to raise their levels. I suppose grinding is not totally necessary, but it does help for later stages. Just put some music on as you do it.-Trials of Mana: This one’s the main reason to own this collection. It’s been on emulation for over a decade, but this is its first official release outside of Japan. The graph.

Just awesome. Finally Square-Enix thinks about honoring their catalog of games regardless of the money.

Nice to finally have Trials of Mana available in English. The other games are great too. Worth the price!

Some of my favorite games ever, but I knocked off a star for the presentation. I might have expected an art gallery or scans of the instruction manuals or something, but it’s just the games. The only extra is a music player, which I guess is nice as these games have beautiful soundtracks. The main annoyance for me is the frame on the sides of the screen. You can’t choose what’s displayed there and you can’t turn it off and just have a plain black frame if you don’t want the distraction.

A great collection of games I know trial of Mana stabbing a remake but I decided to get the original.
