I am a casual gamer these days, but was a rampant SFII fan in my teen years. I can recall the glory days of arcades and have fond memories of SFII on my SNES and Genesis.This is an evolutions of the above-mentioned SFII. The same play mechanics are there, the same fun is there, and the same replay value is there. As the title of this review says, it is the first game I reach for when I pick up my PSP. I keep coming back to it because it is fun, has memprable characters, has great graphics and sound, and can be challenging as well.This is a great addition to any fighting fan’s library and is perfect for any fan of the Street Fighter II series.

If you like a classic 2d fighting game, you can’t get wrong with this. Lots of characters and special combos to perform, ryu, ken, akuma and a whole cast of Fighters who can’t wait to kick the snot out of each other. About The item was wrapped nicely, came in with the instruction manual. There are different options of playing, classic arcade, dramatic battle, r. Dramatic battle, or skip on ahead and fight the leader of shadaloo, the psycho power wielding megalomaniac M. Bison. Tons of replay value.

This port of Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a must have addition for Street Fighter fans that have a PSP. The game is responsive but its not as easy to pull of familiar combos. I chalk it up to the some what awkward PSP button layout but you get accustomed to it over time. The only thing to watch out for is a bug in the games inability to recognize free memory over 2GBs. I have a 8GB memory stick (which I also bought on retrolio.com for an awesome price) and all my other PSP games recognize it with no issues. I tried Alpha 3 and it doesn’t recognize it. I researched the issue on some online forums and found the solution is to use up the memory to under 2GBs of free space. At that point, the game recognizes and saves data just fine.

The Japanese version of this game is supposed to have different names for certian characters. It’s been that way since Street Fighter II if you have done your history. This game is one of the last great Street Fighters. Huge cast and lots of fun on the go or in your own home! Highly recommended.

The classics are back on the PSP for the millenials to enjoy the childhood of the 1980s and 1990s. The characters and their moves remain largely unchanged, with the addition of several new characters who are not on other releases.

A game that gives more than your money worth 5 times over. tons of modes to play-survival-variety of survival mode types,world tour,arcade,training,adhoc versus,dramatic mode2 vs 1 and kumite. records of your scores for arcade,vs wins,and survival. added capcom characters from previous games to already big roster. worthy of any ones library collection.

WHEN I FIRST GOT MY PSP THIS WAS A GAME I BOUGHT WITH IT. AND IT WAS WORTH BUYING IT! THE GRAPHICS IN THIS GAME ARE 2-D GARHICS AND THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD BUT, I THOUGHT IT WHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THEY WERE 3-D GRAPHICS INSTEAD. NOW FOR THE GAMEPLAY…. WHEN YOU PUNCH YOUR OPONET YOU CAN SEE THE EXPRSSION ON THE FACE AND THERE IS SOME BLOOD IN THIS GAME TO. A CON HAVE ABOUT THIS GAME IS THAT THERE IS NO FIGHTERS TO UNLOCK. SO IT GETS BORING AFTER A WHILE PLAYING IT WHEN THERE IS NO FIGHTERS TO UNLOCK. THEY SHOULD CAME UP WITH A FEW MORE NEW FIGHTERS AND LOCKED THEM. THE OTHER CON IS THE D-PAD. BECAUSE OF THE D-PAD IT IS EXTREMLY HARD TO DO THE COMBO MOVES. OVERALL I GIVE THIS GAME A 8/10.

this is a game for all ages. I’ve been a fan of streetfighter since I was a teen in highschool. And I will continue to bee a fan for a long time to come. If you are streetfighter fan you not be disappointed.

Chances are, you’ve already played Street Fighter Alpha 3 before. And because Street Fighter is such a well known fighting series, rather than pound into you what you probably already know, let’s take time to establish what this game does differently than most other fighters. It IS a port, but it’s a reworked port. Not just a straight over port.First of all, there are 40 different characters that you can choose from. This makes Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX one of the most populated fighting games of all time. Each character also has his or her own backstory and set of dialogue. That alone makes this game a bit more worthwhile than most other games where you basically play through the same story but with a different character. Here, each character has their own unique story.Characters also fight with three different “isms” if you will. The simple stylings of the x-ixms will remind you of Street Fighter II, while A-isms give you plenty of powerful moves and V-isms let you use custom combos.The gameplay is about the same as your traditional 2D fighter. They throw in a bit more, though. Such as a guard gauge for players who do nothing but guard, and there are also recovery moves that prevent you from taking more damage than necessary.It’s in the controls however, where I found a bit of a problem. Some moves are harder than they have to be to pull off on the PSP. Perhaps because instead of porting over the exact same controls, they’re changed up a little. Some moves req.

Major errors found in Japanese Version, Street Fighter Zero 3 :The name of Vega is misplaced to M. Bison,the name of M. Bison is misplaced to Balrog,the name of Balrog is misplaced to Vega,the name of Charlie is now changed to Nash andthe name of Akuma is now changed to Gouki !I was wondering whether the American Version bearing the same errors ! If so, wait for a 2nd version with all the corrections ! What an embarrassment to Capcom !The rating is referring to the Japanese Version only !
