I reviewed this scanner favorably shortly after buying it. Two months of use later, I find it even greater. I found today that the TWAIN driver has the sophistication to (reasonably) accurately rotate pages to the correct orientation for reading. Custom Paper sizes can be set and reused for non-standard documents. Its speed and auto-duplexing surpass the professional Fujitsu SCSI scanner it replaced, at 1/8 of what the Fujitsu scanner cost. This scanner continues to impress me.

Easy setup and the papers literally fly through this thing. We’re on our way to creating a paperless file system. I always did like Epson products and I have to say I’m pleased with the smaller size. I also like that we don’t have to lift the lid on the big scanner every time we want to scan a paper – just feed it through!

Quality: IMHO, you can’t beat the quality of Epson scanners. I used to borrow one, now I have my own:).Speed: don’t recall the exact spec, but I scanned 124 pages, double sided, color, in about 3 minutes.Paper: handles anything I put through it including card stock.Tip: like a lot of owners, I got an error message when downloading the software from Epson.com that the scanner couldn’t connect to my PC. Checked multiple online blogs about this and couldn’t solve the problem. Called a friend of mine and he said the since it the scanner is a late model to connect it to a USB-3 port instead of a USB-3 port. Problem solved.

My expensive Fujiitu scanner was great, but constantly lost communication with my computer, for no reason at all. This Epson was a breeze to install, but if you want Wifi, you’ll need to spiritually connect to Albert Einstein. I know there’s a trick to it, but forget it and buy the 400 for a few bucks less. Great software included and I hope it works as well as it has so far.

Push a button and it will blast through your documents scanning them front and back. The hopper holds 50 pages, but you can add pages while it is scanning. I have scanned 300+ page documents in just over 5 minutes. 200 dpi is the fastest scan mode, but it gives your very clear and readable documents. I set up a “scanner inbox”, then go back through rename the files, and move them into folders. With this method I load the scanner, push the green scan button, and let it work while I work on something else. Get rid of all those filling cabinets, and save some space with this scanner!

Just started using this for digitizing paper files in my office. Jam free extremely fast color duplex scanning, just as advertised. Our chart files are thick and this unit handles it fine with accurate, detailed reproduction.Plug and play, easy to use interface for flipping pages.*I have not used tech support so cannot accurately rate.*

This is just a fantastic scanner for the price. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the quality isn’t excellent. However, I love everything else about it. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, it opens up the file for you automatically, you can scan in multi document pages in single or double sided, you can delete pages, add more pages to the scan if you forget some before you ultimately save it…. It’s great. I’m super happy with the product.

I had been using, and have grown accustomed to, the NEAT system of scanning. With two magazines that I own/publish, I scan a lot of documents, checks, invoices, subscriptions, etc, every day.I had used the NEAT scanner/system since they were pretty new, and they worked well enough to I bought a second NEAT scanner after the first one started jamming up. I could have tried to fix it, but I found one on God’s gift to struggling business owners (Craigslist), for super cheap. Now, my MacBook Pro was updated (finally) to the latest system software, since a lot of the programs I needed to run for the mags needed the latest system, but NEAT would NOT run on the newer systems. They kept on trying to get me to switch to their online system, WHICH SUCKS.I tried, three times. It would not take my old scans, which is the most important thing.Plus, when I exported the 4,567 files/PDFs, the file names did not take any of the document names, leaving me with gaggle-bahbbaba, which is useless. The NEAT scanner would NOT work with any new Mac OSX, so I was ready to move on.So, I looked for a new scanner that would work with MacOSX 10.10, and higher, and found this.Plus, this one is refurbished, and about $200 cheaper!!!I’m in love.If that’s possible…It scans so bloody fast.I almost always think it didn’t do it, it’s that fast.I love that I can set jobs for each scan. For invoices, I create one for MCM Invoices, one for SCM Invoices, and it puts them right in the folders I want.I wish I could renam.

I bought an expensive 3 in 1 printer by Epson and the scan feature stunk so got this and it’s wonderful! Easy to use and has a lot of great features. I’d recommend it

This thing is freaking awesome, but some pointers on its use!!!!!!I first set it up on usb cable, used it according to the instructions, and it worked awesome. But, I wanted to change where it sat on my desk and the cable wouldn’t reach, so I went to Wi-Fi. This is where you really need to pay attention. The instructions they provide do not apply for the Wi-Fi operation. The install and set up is the same, but you do not use the "Document Capture Pro" software. Instead, you use the "Epson 2" software. It’s formatted a bit differently, but operates in essentially the same way. This scanner is super fast, accurate, and doesn’t miss pages. I love that I can set a folder and file name that I want the document scanned to before starting the scan. It ran 50 pages no problem.
