Let me start by saying this game is great. There are no let downs in the second Suffering. Your favorite monsters are back plus some new and improved ones. Also that dam Doctor is back to drive you crazy with his diagnosis of Torgue all through out the game. The new adventure picks up where you left off leaving the island. Now there is another person named Jordan who wants to find the mystery behind Torque. It also has new scenes of the city where Torque grew up which you battle in. You get a great selection of new and improved weapons to choose from. Over all great new challenges and that same creepy feel with all the great gore that made the first one so great.

I was a huge fan of the original Suffering because it was such a different type of game. Being in the confines of a haunted prison fighting such insane(and sickly made) creatures along with an F-d up story line (I say that in a good way) was such an awesome gaming expereince. The Ties That Bind continues that with an excellant continuation of the story about Torque’s past (BTW, Torque is one badass MF!) as well as giving us some new horrific creatures to do away with. I especially enjoy being able to start my new game loading off the ending of the previous game, giving me 3 different ways to begin (good, neutral and evil). I especially like the fact that the creature you morph into during Insanity mode reflects your overall demeanor. The good creature is simply Torque in an Incredible Hulk type mode whereas the evil creature is more like a demon from the lowest depths of Hades (each Insanity creature also has special attacks-also new to the game). Midway has outdone themselves! Torque is the man!

The Suffering Ties That Bind is a direct sequel to The Suffering. A sequel that promised more. More blood, more monsters, more weapons, and the game delivered on all of it. There have been some much welcome changes, along with a few that just baffle, but we’ll get into those as we go.The game begins with a flashback, five years before The Suffering. We find Torque in a Baltimore Prison with his friend Miles. The two are approached by Blackmore the game’s villain. He offers them a spot in his gang, but they refuse, but before things get ugly, the prison is attacked. It is here that Torque begins to have his visions. Then we snap back to the present, just after the ending of The Suffering. Depending on what ending you got in the first game, you can choose to have that morality at the start. In my case, the good morality, where Torque is going back to Baltimore to clear his name. But he is abducted by a group called the Foundation, who call him the prime. Torque escapes the Foundation and must make his way to East Baltimore Prison to settle things once and for all.Okay, I’m not gonna lie, the story in this game isn’t as good. The last game had a dark and compelling story that made you want to play all the way through, where this is your basic "You are the chosen one, stop the evil." story line that’s been done to death. Now the story isn’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but still, the game’s story could have used a few tweaks. Though there are some nice twists whic.

very cool game, I was forced to downgrade from xb1 to ps2 for lack of internet and this was a game I had never heard of, Totally satisfied.

I remember playing this game as a kid and it scared the CRAP out of me. When i saw it on here I jumped at the chance it own it and finally beat it. I got it, brand new from retrolio, and started playing it. Probably 15 minutes into the game it gliched and i had to to reset it (no big deal it happens) it has glitched atleast 3 more times and I find myself saving every few steps I take. I never remembered this problem playing it on the original Xbox. But I do warn you YOUR GAME WILL MOST LIKELY GLITCH SAVE ALOT!!! Otherwise in the age of next gen gaming this game still is interesting, the monster are scary and I will definately be playing this game again once i get over this glitching problem.
