I could ask every I see at school if they ever played Super Metroid and out of the 20,000+ students there, I’d estimate maybe 1/500 have played this amazing game. Despite the imense popularity of the Metroid series in the gaming world, Samaus Aran’s exploits are unfortunately not well-known outside of geek gatherings. So I say to you, oh one-who-hath-never-played-Metroid. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO PLAY THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY IF YOU VALUE ANYTHING THAT IS FUN!!!! Buying this game would probably be the most sound advice I’d give to anyone who wants a game that a.) anyone can play and beat, and b.) it is fun as hell.As for official stuff:1. Great Graphics (for SNES)2. Huge areas!3. Great power-ups4. Challenging, but not overstressful.5. Great replay value (go back and find all the items, beat the game in three hours).6. Rich enviorments and atmosphere.7. Great soundtrack.8. Kill a giant brain.9. Easy controls.10. EVERY ELSE IS DOING IT!!

"Super Metroid" is one of the few games of its ilk that I can come back to and play over and over again. Sure, it’s not that hard for experienced gamers — something I used to be, but no longer claim to be — but who cares when you are having this much fun? And I don’t care how good you are; you’re never going to get all the items and find all the secrets without a player’s guide. "Super Metroid" built upon the success and innovation of the original NES title and ended up being a true classic, a game that, for me, always worked as the video game version of the "Alien" film series. Very few games come close to this one.

Received sooner than expected. It is in much better condition than expected. The label on the cartridge ahd slightly peeled at the top, but that was the only physical damage. The game works great.

Great game. arrived quickly and works perfectly!

This game IS a masterpiece. The scenery, the story, the bosses, the abilities, the feel of the game and the way it was pieced together. The game expresses so very much. Parts express surprise, parts express creepiness, parts express thill, parts express so much it’s enough to blow you away…or just make you really want to play the game over and over again. Even the music is cool. The only problems…1. People complain about the “Wall Jump” being too hard to learn2. People complain about the world map not being precise enough3. People complain that they are stuck in a point and don’t know what to do (you need to re-explore things as this happens)But this is a breathtaking game and these problems aren’t anything if you know how to play a videogame. THIS GAME IS FIVE TIMES WORTH IT EVEN IF YOU FACE SOME DIFFICULTY, BUY IT NOW!…

This game is a classic! I used to love this game as a kid so I decided to buy it again and it is still just as fun.

You know what game you’re buying here. It’s Super Metroid. If you like Super Metroid, this is totally the game you should buy. If you don’t like Super Metroid, then buy it anyway, because Super Metroid is awesome, and you’re wrong.

Super Metroid is commonly hailed as the greatest Super Nintendo game ever! Sure, it’s graphics can’t hold a candle up to Metroid Prime and it’s story isn’t quite as good as Metroid Fusion, but if you’re gonna make a Metroid game you might as well do it right don’t you think? What I mean is we want exploration while there’s a good storyline in tact. Something that the two new Metroid games didn’t put together. While Metroid Prime has great exploration it’s story kind of sucks. While Metroid Fusion has a great storyline (probably the best in all the Metroid games thus far) you can’t explore worth crap! But put them both together and you’ve got a Metroid classic! That my friends is Super Metroid!I remember playing the first Metroid game and it was an inspiration to me. It wasn’t some linear path, you had to explore. Sure there’s a lot of backtracking but if there wasn’t then it wouldn’t be called “Exploration” now would it?The storyline of Super Metroid is that the Metroid Hatchling Samus found at the end of her previous adventure, she left in the care of scientist. But that station came under attack and Samus finds that she must help. When she gets there she has a confrontation with Ridley who ends up flying away with the Metroid hatchling and Samus tracks him down to planet Zebes. This is a great storyline! Some landscapes look a lot like those of the original Metroid game but enhanced. Some abilities are even in the same spots! Still, that exploration is there and for that I w.
