Super Monkey Ball Adventure

Super Monkey Ball Adventure is a video game develop by Traveller’s Tales in association with the division Traveller’s Tales Oxford and distribute by Sega in the Super Monkey Ball series, release on June 30, 2006.

It is a departure from the series in the sense that the puzzle-base gameplay is replace by a more traditional 3D platform game world. Traveller’s Tales has retained some of the mini-games. However, and integrate the features into the gameplay. Also some new mini-games are integrate into the adventure world. The game receive mix to negative reviews from critics, who derided the game’s controls, difficulty. And gameplay shift, with some deeming it the worst installment in the series, though the soundtrack was praises.

  1. Andrew Plante

    Very funny

  2. Ben Richardson

    Great buy.

  3. Ro-Ro

My 6 year old son loves this game. We have all 3, and they are great. They are the best games to purchase if you don’t want you kids playing anything with any violence. They are fun, even though our son beats us at every level. Safe and Fun to play, both your children and you will love it.

  4. Bla Bla

I don’t normally write reviews, but I was pretty surprised with how many negative reviews this game has received. Yes, its flaws are VERY obvious: glitches in the sound, when you “fall out” the game often places you in strange starting points, terrible load times, etc…First of all, I am a fan of the series, especially Super Monkey Ball 2. I think that the original Super Monkey Ball was great, but a bit more annoying… because by nature of the game’s design, some boards are so difficult that you really need tons of practice before you can complete them. Being forced to play the boards in succession, with a limited number lives, can mean that there will be a slew of great boards you may miss out on.It took me a little while, but I soon realized that the tasks you perform in Super Monkey Ball Adventure’s “Story Mode”, are often as puzzling and full of skillful controller movement as the “old school” puzzle boards… AND the game integrates 50 new puzzle boards within the Story mode too, so at least they didn’t ditch that concept (you can also play these boards in succession, a la Super Monkey Ball 1). Yes, the game is INSANELY difficult at times, but at least you are given an unlimited amount of opportunities to beat each task/board, unlike the original Super Monkey Ball where if you lose all your lives, the game is over. Also, you only have to complete 60% of each world in order to advance, so if you get stuck on an extremely difficult task/board, often you can skip it.

  5. David Rose

Taking a big leap away from the level-by-level advancement set forth by the first two entries and putting the player in a huge open environment, this entry in the beloved "Super Monkey Ball" series proves to be sometimes challenging and occasionally repetitive, but it still is a solid innovative entry in the series, nonetheless.

  6. Unknown

    Perfectly described. Good shop

  7. Kourt

I love story and adventure games (Super mario sunshine, super mario galaxy, all of the paper marios, kirby games, etc) So I love this game. It’s an adventure game. The ONLY annoying thing is that it can get really hard and frustrating. But, what’s the fun of playing a game if it’s too easy? NOT for little kids, way too hard for them.I’m surprised it has such low ratings :(

  8. Gary W. Story

My grandkids enjoy it. It does take reading, so real young kids have a challenge playing it.I don’t think it is as good as the first two monkeyball games.

  9. Ashley Heilman

    Everything was great!
